You poor guy. I found out I have it, too. We need someone to talk us down from it. Whatever it costs, the taxpayers will foot the bill. Quite often a luxury vacation reduces stress load and gets the victim away from the triggers (like Oman, Waters and BLM march speakers) for a while.
Love it! I wanted to start a thread (I still may) asking FReepers what they spent their ‘Uncle Sugar’ money on. I got $2,076.00 total for doing nothing. NOTHING! Haven’t spent it all, but so far I have:
* Made three contributions to Free Republic
* Bought Ammo & re-loading supplies
* Bought Socks & Underwear (30% off coupon at Kohl’s!)
* Bought garden seeds and various gardening supplies
* Took my Mom out to lunch
* Bought a pedigreed puppy for future breeding stock (I am NOT a puppy mill!)
* Stocked up on liquor and cigarettes for future bartering
* Bought more canning jars & lids than ever before
Bring it, Mother Government! I’m ready for ya! ;)

What kind of puppy did you get? We went camping and one couple had a toy poodle. I’m not a small dog lover but this thing captures everyones heart. She was so joyful and excited to be there and it was infectious. I couldn’t help but pet on it and scratch its back and she just loved it. The next morning (we slept in a tent everyone else had campers/rvs) the bottom of the tent door was unzipped enough for the dog to stick its head in and its eyes just lit up at seeing me. She ran in and jumped in my arms. I was blown away how friendly that dog was. You could feel the love. The dog was the best part of the camping trip and I loved camping.

That kind of money would instantly toss inflation into the stratosphere and that 110 would be worth perhaps 100 in current depreciating money. The thinking in DC seems to be we are going to have a hyperinflation, lets get all the votes we can in the run-up and then cement ourselves in as the Permanent overlords.
I have two sons, but they are in their 50's, and neither has children by choice. But I sure could have used that money as a divorced single mother when they were small. In 1980, the one year I was able to claim earned income credit, my ex-husband took the kids as exemptions on his return. I was audited, and I had to pay it back. My salary for that year was $5579. I'd even had my divorce decree include that I would be the one able to claim them on my returns. When I told the IRS that, they said it didn't matter. Later that year I took a job with NY State, and my salary went up to $12,400, so he was unable to take the exemption ever again.
Can I claim our cats as children?
