A heat wave of unprecedented magnitude and duration is forecast to grip the Pacific Northwest this weekend and bring dangerously high temperatures that could make life miserable into next week for a region where air conditioning is not a fixture in most households.
Triple-digit temperatures are forecast throughout parts of Oregon and Washington, which includes the Interstate 5 corridor. Both Portland, Oregon, which could see the mercury crack the 110-degree mark, and Seattle, which is expected to top 100, could experience temperatures around 30 to 40 degrees above normal and challenge daily record highs.
Following a cooler stretch of weather, the dangerous heat is forecast to peak from Saturday through Monday as high pressure settles in and enables temperatures to climb to new heights.

I was in Puyallup, WA when it hit 102.

I don’t get this. 118 in Siberia. 111 in Portland.

If this heat wave finds it’s way to California (it will) there may be several dozen libs looking longingly at all that COLD snow runoff water in the Pacific that SHOULD be stored up behind their mega dams.
However, the endangered bait fish truly appreciate your sacrifice...

This would be a great time to throw a MAGA FOREVER rally.
Let the little tee-tee kiddies get all dressed up, bring some bait trucks with flags and such to make approaches to the “rally” location, just close enough to be spotted.
Lead them all over town in areas with few stores or food shops.
Pretty soon they would be dropping like flies while the bait truck operators are riding in the cool AC.
