At least 6 hurt in pedestrian bridge collapse in Washington, DC

At least six people were hurt when a pedestrian bridge crashed down onto a freeway in northwest Washington, DC, around noon on Wednesday, according to reports.

The collapse of the bridge at Kenilworth Avenue and Polk Street trapped several vehicles under the rubble, including a truck that began leaking fuel, WZDC-TV reported.

At least four people were taken to area hospitals and two others were treated at the scene, the station reported.
