Freshman Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) has been blocked from joining the Congressional Black Caucus .
BuzzFeed noted that it had been nearly six months since the new freshman class from the previous election were inducted into the Congress, adding that the group is a “powerful and nominally nonpartisan group of black lawmakers in Congress.”
Though there is not currently a Republican member in the group, according to their official website. Donalds, who won his election in November for the first time, has not been included in that group.
Donalds’ office told BuzzFeed that the congressman has spoken with at least three members of the group about joining, but he has not received an answer .
An aide to Donalds said, “Congressman Donalds has expressed interest in joining the CBC but has yet to receive an official invitation.”
“ The CBC did not respond to questions about the status of Donalds’ membership or why he was not being let in,” the aide said.
Donalds said in February he wanted to join in order to change the caucus’s liberal dominance. His goals were to have membership in both the majority Democrat’s Congressional Black Caucus and the conservative House Freedom Caucus.
Donalds was one of the many Republicans that voted against certifying the electoral college.
Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) had declined an invitation from the group in 2010 when he was first elected to Congress as a member of the House. When he became a “Rep.-elect,” he said he would not be joining since his “campaign was never about race.”
Congressional Hispanic Caucus’s bylaws exclude non-Democrats. In 2017 the group denied membership to former Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-FL).

So it’s really The Congressional Marxist Black Caucus.
They took Amos ‘n Andy off the air because the characters supposedly reflected poorly upon the black community. The caucus looks like a Mystic Knights of the Sea lodge meeting. The caucus should be muzzled so as to not reflect upon the decent people in the black community. I’m sure the Kingfish and Algonquin J. Calhoun would be proud of those caucus hustlers.
So only “blacks” can join?
What about “people of color?” Can they join? How about whites? Seems like discrimination to me.
Only democrat blacks can join.....

Now why would any Republican want to join the Congressional Black Caucus at all?
The CBC is like the KKK, only its blacks who are practicing racism and black superiority.
Maybe he could start the White Caucus and be the Executive Founding officer. I mean, if a Elizabeth Warren can identify as Native American, why can’t he dip into a little ‘white priviledge’.

During his campaign, Biden said that any African-American who did not vote for him “ain’t Black.” The CBC simply is following Biden’s lead in denying membership to a Black Republican Congressman.

Byron Donalds does not deserve this.
The Black Caucus is nothing more than their version of the KKK.
