The only reason she is in the Senate is because of the sympathy vote after her Husband’s death. Up to that point, the only qualification she had for the office, was that she was married to the Senator. Brains were never required for that position.

I thought she “inherited” (In a sense!) the seat from her father. Who was part of the “Crrupt Bastard Club” as Palin called it. Republicans that ran Alaska (for their own benefit!) from at least the last Ice Age.
You shouldn’t have to be from Alaska to realise how crazy this is and how destructive to our economy and national security. A lot of us don’t want to recognise we now have an electorate which doesn’t care they just vote Democrat.

Lisa Murkowski has been married to the same guy since 1987.
She became Senator when her father resign from the Senate to run for Governor of Alaska and gave her his seat.
She was beaten in the primary and Mitch McConnell helped her run as an Independent and to be elected. She owes Mitch.
The people in AK are not fooled by her.
