Hey mitt what about Trump’s 2016 successful nomination ... and he won the presidency. Shouldn’t that serve as a model?

After nine years, almost every Republican has forgotten that Mitt Romney was the most ardent GOP Primary candidate for vigorously enforcing our immigration laws.

My top two issues - the economy and immigration - were also Romney's top two, which is why I supported him.

Within weeks after losing the election, Romney was already backtracking on immigration.

No matter which candidate the Republicans nominate, because the Democrats will immediately start calling him or her Hitler. They do it every time. Only a sniveling weasel like Romney or Bush would crawl back and lick their boots after they savaged both of them during their campaigns.

Few here bothered to even read the short excerpt in the OP, it seems. It's talking about Mitt Romney's successful 2012 GOP primary campaign, and how Republican candidates can win the Republican presidential primary in 2024.

In my state primary, I voted for Newt. It didn’t matter, as it was anyone but Barky.

But 2012 didn’t really have much talent running.

So Mittens beat Newt, Huckabee and Santorum?

Yeah, big win, sure.

Did I miss something?

Is Mitt expecting the Congress or the courts will unseat Obama and make him president?

Or ex-President or whatever?

It was an Obama-Crowley tag-team and Mitt just stood there and took it.

The jist of the short article (which is actually a summary of a longer politico article which briefly mentions Romney), if you actually read it and not just comment on the headline, is that POTUS hopefuls can help themselves by campaigning for the party in the midterms, which Nixon proved all the way back in 1966.
