You think Mitt wanted to defeat Obama? He threw that election.

I could have sworn he lost the election to the turd. Maybe that’s what the MSM means by successful. The Republican loses to the Democrat

Thanks for the joke. It made me laugh.

The laugh made me pass gas so now I feel real good. Thanks again.

There aren’t enough Mormons to give him the nomination a second time.

“Successful”???? Who won in 2012?

So what the Yahoo writer is suggesting is if the GOP wants to lose the POTUS race in 2024, chose a candidate like they chose in 2012 - a loser.

The article referred to Mitt successfully getting the nomination, not winning the General.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) would likely be among the first to admit that he’s not the most popular name in Republican circles these days, but that doesn’t mean his successful bid for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012 can’t serve as a template for future contenders.

Yes you too can buy Mitta new book “Win to Lose!” How I won the nomination like Ford, Dole and McCain and still remained a pathetic loser like they were!

Successful? This fool has been talking to Karl Rove, who is still awaiting the final results from Ohio for the 2012 election that Mr. Mitt, by the way, LOST.

Obozo was the only presidential candidate in history to win a re-election campaign* by a lower margin than by which he was elected the first time. Nobody but a loser like Romney could lose to such a pathetically bad candidate.

* Yeah, I know some purists will point out that FDR won his 3rd and 4th elections by lower margins than the first, but you can attribute that to fatigue and resentment at breaking the two term precedent established by George Washington, not pathetic candidacy.

Willard needs to just go away
Imagine, Political Guidance for Repubs from the leftist folks at Yahoo. Isn’t that just precious?

FWIW- I still keep a Yahoo email account from many, many tears ago. It’s for all kinds of nefarious trolling.

I see it every day. Yahoo News is the absolute worst source of info, on anything. It really is a truly Bizarro world on The Left.

“Mitt had one job, block a conservative from the nomination. Mission Accomplished.”

That’s exactly right! After 2010 the Establishment was desperate that a hard-charging conservative not be nominated.

The same after 1994 when we got Bob Dole in ‘96.

In 2016 we were familiar with the game, and no moderate was going to ride up the middle.

The same with 2024. Somebody like Nikki Haley is not going to fool us. And likely won’t get any traction.

Dole wasn’t the greatest candidate, but that being said, Mitt isn’t worthy to shine Bob Dole’s shoes.

I will let my Beloved Nation crash and burn before I vote for Mitt. My Party (and THAT’s getting pretty tenuous) better never try to give me THAT disreprable bastard as a choice.
