In a drastic move signaling California's looming drought crisis, federal water managers announced Wednesday they're cutting water allocations to farms and cities again.
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, which supplies water in California through the Central Valley Project, said it expects to cut its delivery to the urban areas it serves by more than half, allocating 25% of the contracted amount rather than the 55% that was announced earlier.
Water districts in the San Francisco Bay Area that have contracts with the Central Valley Project and are affected by the cut.
The federal government also announced that their water allocations to farm-irrigation districts in the Central Valley will be reduced to zero. In February, the bureau allocated farmers 5% of their contract supply.

Who is John Galt?
The floggings will continue until the morale improves.
Would love to see Victor Davis Hanson’s take on this. He was raised in the Central Valley, still owns and operates the family farm there, and knows the political history on all this.
Oh boy, if you thought a trip to the grocery was expensive up until now, just wait...
Infrastructure means building worthless high speed rail, but not upgrading water supplies in a region that has seen huge population growth (much of it illegal from Latin America) in the past three decades.
What a bastard!
Zerobama did this too.
In this case I guess the rain doesn’t fall on the just and unjust.
Thank God I’m on private wells. The aquifer didn’t even drop during the drought of 90. But this one is worse I think. We’ll probably have flooding next year. Although I feel that Byedone is a curse on everything.
If only there was a way to turn all that ocean water into fresh water????

Yes I know there are a few plants in California but they are very small and limited because of environmental issues.
California is going to send most of their water to help the Delta Smelt.
Following commands from his ChiCom master, TraitorJoe proceeds with efforts to destroy a large segment of the U.S. food production, and thus TraitorJoe and his kakistocracy continue to give more aid and comfort to the enemy of the United States.
The Soviet Union also used water as a control mechanism over the people: Behave or no water for you.
The man from the Federal Government said…you folks really want to recall Governor Nephew?
EXACTLY HOW does one go about ‘upgrading the water supplies’???
We are dependent on snow melt & rain.
Same story for many, many years.
There is something massively disturbing about a Federal Government that thinks it controls the air and the water.
None of this is in the Constitution. A belief in God, is.
It’s too late to find out who John Galt is. If you don’t know, already, just pay your taxes and enjoy the ride.
