Wyoming state Sen. Anthony Bouchard, a Republican who has emerged as one of the most high-profile primary challengers to Rep. Liz Cheney, said in a Facebook Live video Thursday he impregnated a 14-year-old girl when he was 18.
Bouchard said they later got married with the blessing of her mother, and took care of the child. Bouchard and the girl married when he was 19 and she was 15, the Casper Star-Tribune reported. He added that they got divorced about three years later, and she died by suicide at the age of 20.

Finding a normal person in the political culture is difficult. That was a major part of the GOP dislike of Ronald Reagan
He was not bent.
I bet his campaign is being funded by ties to her daddy’s old friends.
Okay - thanks.
Stop the presses! An 18 year old kid did something stupid. I think it is important we destroy the rest of his life. Forget about the fact we have a president who was getting illegally paid by a foreign government just a couple years ago, but that’s not an issue. I couldn’t care less what this guy did in his teens, what had he done since then?
In before one more person defends this crappy candidate
Did Lizzy put this guy up to running?
If this was a Democrat would you be defending him?
They were already divorced. Read up on the story. Use an internet search engine.
It doesn't really matter, any way:
Of course it does.
Nobody is responsible for something that their ex wife does.
you broke it, you bought it. He impregnated her at 14, there's a good chance he sent her on the spiral that lead to her death.
Um, she married the guy with full blessings from her parents. How do you even know she was a virgin when they met?
Any more random nonsense from you Dem trolls?
“Boy....the grassroots really knows how to pick ‘em! (Sarc)”
It’s not really that, it’s that the GOPe is so powerful that the only outsiders to run are freaks. No one really cares about them until they threaten ‘the order of things’ and then they’re screened.
We may not care about stuff like this*, but there is a HUGE segment of Republican voters who, unfortunately, do - they’re idiots, but we need their votes to win, as Roy Moore found out.
*and I certainly don’t care, since that part of him will NEVER affect my family...but a Democrat winning, or Cheney staying in power, sure as hell does affect my family. It’s a weakness in our communication that there are STILL PEOPLE on our side (even here, probably) who prefer a Democrat with good character (obviously, based on what they know about the guy), over a conservative with bad character, or something bad in their past, as it indicates they are CLUELESS regarding what the Democrats have in store for them, should they get the power they crave (starting with full-scale gun confiscation, including those lost in ‘boating accidents’, by the way).
When in High School 50 years ago, it was not uncommon to see a freshman girl with a senior guy. This happened about 40 years ago, among high school kids. To most 18 year old guys back then, the crack of dawn wasn’t even safe. 40-50 years ago this type of relationship was not unusual.
The guy is a state Senator. And he was married to the girl for some years. You think this has never been brought up by his previous political opponents? What good did it do them? He still won, no?
See post # 71 from me.
two kids got in trouble....never happened before...
her father committed suicide...
See your post about 1800?
She died in 1990 so find the law in Florida in 1985ish.
