If Ohio continues its current rate of COVID-19 vaccination, it could take until November to reach herd immunity, according to APM Research Lab, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that produces a weekly report about vaccination progress across the country.
And the nation’s political divide is reflected in its vaccination progress, APM found after analyzing federal data.
In general, vaccination rates are higher in states that voted for President Joe Biden, and lower in states that supported former President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
Ayaz Hyder, assistant professor in the College of Public Health at Ohio State University, agrees with APM’s assessment that Ohio probably will reach herd immunity in November. That’s still a goal, though, and it will be more difficult to reach if the state doesn’t close the vaccination gap between wealthy and underprivileged neighborhoods, Hyder said. He is also on the faculty of the Translational Data Analytics Institute at OSU.
People who can’t take off work to get vaccinated, lack transportation or face other barriers to getting immunized are the ones who must be reached in order to raise the state’s vaccination rates, he said. Neighborhoods where vaccination rates are lagging are also communities most affected by health disparities, Hyder said.....

That is not the definition of herd immunity.
Complete bs once again. One only needs to look at the red states that are STILL locked down versus states that had minimal lockdowns. Vaccines had little or nothing to do with it.

So, these propagandist politicians claim the red states who took off their masks are giving each other the disease but that causes less herd immunity.
I read it as they are basing everything on vaccinations and red states lagging behind forced vaccinations of its citizens.
And where are the corresponding death rates?
