The New York state attorney general's office said on Tuesday it has told the Trump Organization its investigation of the company run by former President Donald Trump is now a criminal probe, not purely civil.
"We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the organization is no longer purely civil in nature," spokesman Fabien Levy said in a statement.
"We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA," he said.

Sure they want to file criminal charges however flimsy just to nueter Trumps influence on the 2022 elections. If he helps get rid of worthless rinos and the GOP retakes the House, with guys like Jordan and Nunes in key chairmanship spots, it would throwxa huge monkey wrench in the full speed takeover by the rat progressives.

It is important to remember that the current Attorney General of NY, one Letitia James, ran on a platform of ‘getting Trump and his family’. She’s just fulfilling her campaign promises.
It must be comforting for New Yorkers to realize that there are no other serious criminal problems in their state. How many deaths can be attributed to President Trump and his family as compared to the actions of Governor Cuomo?
