Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine's $5 million lottery to encourage vaccinations appears to be an early win.
State health officials said Monday that more than 25,400 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered Friday, two days after the program was announced, making it the highest vaccination day in three weeks.
Maybe more telling were the people who got vaccinated. Vaccinations for residents ages 30 to 74 spiked by 6 percent after weeks of steady decline.
"Not only have we achieved our goal of increasing public awareness and interest, but we have slowed what was a consistent decline, and in certain age groups we're seeing an increase again," state Health Director Stephanie McCloud said. "This is doing exactly what we intended it to do."

The idea is stupid. But, if one wanted to incentivize people with covid relief funds, and wanted to create stimulus, why not give $1000.00 to 5000 people?
I wish karma would hurry up and visit DeWine.

And yes Virginia the CDC the communist Democrat committee has patents on 40 of these vaccines - did you know that?
Did you know that they want to try to force parents to give little babies one year old in two year olds courses of 7 to 12 risky dangerous concoctions filled with horrible preservatives and adjuncts in a period of a couple of months?
Did you know that autism did not exist before the 1970s? And now one out of 20 children plus or minus have it?
Most people are aware - but isn’t it stunning that you can’t sue the vaccine industry if they killed your child. or maybe you or a family member?
Why is there such a cop like atmosphere among the Democrats in particular when it comes to this subject?
Why are they like Twitter and Facebook who have to ban any questioning of this orthodoxy?

Why doesn’t Biden just pay everyone a cool million to get the vaccine. The debt, the printing of money, the spending.....it’s all past any level of sanity anyways.

Is this one of those “No purchase necessary to win” contests. I figure they are afoul of the law (Hah! LAWS are for the little people.)
Okay. But I figure there are some lawyers out there who could jump on this and create some headlines, etc. Maybe it could get in front of a judge who still has his/her ethics intact.
If everyone had been paid one million each instead of all the stimulus bills (with all the add ons) it would have been cheaper than what has been done so far.
Maybe they can add in free refrigerator magnets that people can wear on their arm that they got the shot in. Up the bribery phase a little bit, in other words.
I just looked at the Ohio Covid dashboard. It shows the vax rate among 19 and younger is 7%. It was lower than this a week ago.
My guess is that the uptick in vaccinations is due to Karen moms taking their kids to get vaxxed, especially the ones age 12-17 who qualify for the scholarships.
Of course, there is no way to tell how many of those same kids would get a vaccine if they were over 18 and had a choice.
