President Joe Biden wore a mask outdoors during a speech in Louisiana on Thursday, ignoring updated guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control allowing vaccinated Americans to be outdoors without a mask.
Biden wore a mask and his aviator sunglasses during an event in Lake Charles, Louisiana, as he walked up to the podium and delivered a speech about the importance of infrastructure. The president exited a tent wearing his mask and saluted as he took the stage. He removed his mask before he began to speak.

I’ve concluded Pres Biden is germaphobic. He’s convinced himself he’s going to catch that virus even when vaccinated. Or someone in his circle has convinced him.

When he’s shaking hands with two guys he’s NOT wearing a mask.
When he’s at the podium with no one around, he IS wearing a mask.
How come you do not have to wear a mask indoors with the family? Hmm...?

I think there are several reasons Biden’s handlers keep him in a mask:
1) The Democrat base and the left in general love masks and want to see him wearing one.
2) They don’t want him to get ahead of the blue areas that still have outdoor mask mandates in place. He’ll keep wearing the mask until places like San Francisco have dropped their mandates.
3) The left wants to maintain an air of crisis because it helps their agenda. The mask communicates crisis and un-normalcy.
4) It appeals disproportionately to women and minorities.
5) It’s the opposite of what Trump would do, and they want the contrast.
Did I really need to add a sarcasm tag?
With this current situation, isn’t “sarcasm” being a tad redundant? :-)
