No mention of party affiliation in the article that I saw.
I wonder why.

I thought with Fed sentences there is no parole. That is why there is no Federal parole board What authority does a director of a Federal prison have to release an inmate before time served? A jailer has no business determining when to release a prisoner. That decision is above his pay grade. This is a judicial sentence.

He's in Otisville rated one of the cushiest prisons.
When Michael was sent to Otisville the MSM reported how easy he would have it in prison. The narrative was Otisville is a county club prison for the well connected.

The federal Bureau of Prisons is considering releasing disgraced former New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver from prison early...Obviously a Friend of Sleepy Joe.

Lemme guess...he’s dying? It’s funny how so many felon politicians given early release on “compassionate grounds” manage to live for 30 years and become lobbyists in DC...usually for left wing organizations.

Consider the number of American citizens who have been detained (i.e. imprisoned) for being on the Capitol grounds in January. So much for 1) presumption of innocence and 2) right to due process.
We must face the fact the judicial system no longer makes any pretense of delivering “Equal Justice Under Law.” The judicial system is completely politicized and multi tiered in terms of how trials are conducted and “justice” is administered.
If you think voting will change the current situation, how many of the current GOP representatives and Senators in Congress are even talking about an overhaul of the judicial system to return rule of law. Crickets.

At this point one must seriously question whether or not the reason he was arrested at all was because he upset someone else within the larger hierarchy of corruption.

Silver has served less than a year of his 6½-year sentence I guess this is fine as long as the leniency is applied equally, so Chauvin is out in 2 years.
