Those workers and organizers at Nani's Kitchen came together on Saturday to mark the decision, which is a first for Rochester. It's the first full-service restaurant to approve unionization through the vote of its employees.
"Working in a restaurant is fun. But it also needs to be able to provide," says Andrea DePasquale, an employee and organizer..

Obama, through his brain-dead marionette in the White House, will force all businesses to unionize so he can skim Democrat political contributions... I mean union dues... from every paycheck in the country.

The union restaurant? Great. That means I do not have to tip the wait staff as they are earning $15 an hour, plus benefits, plus insurance, plus paid vacation, plus etc.

My guess is that there’s some funding coming their way. We’ve had Union Restaurants in Rochester for years. It’s nothing new.

I trust when the place goes under and the owner has lost their investment the woke union members will help chip in to cover the loss.

I looked at that menu. Where the hell is the chicken fried steak? What about my seafood platter?
Not even a burger and fries combo.

Low skill jobs are low paying jobs. If your employer has to pay you $15+/hr his business and your job will probably disappear.

That means I do not have to tip the wait staff as they are earning $15 an hour, plus benefits, plus insurance, plus paid vacation, plus etc. It also means you'll never get served because once everyone realizes that you get paid no matter how much or little you work, the laziest, slowest employee will set the bar for the rest of the employee's performance.

The owner’s name suggests he’s an Indian. That means no beef ... and you sure as hell don’t want to eat the seafood from the Ganges River.

True. And management cannot fire that employee. Union rules.

Interesting. How do the prices and service compare with the non-union places?

Now that restaurants have been on the eschew list for so many months, it’s easy to not go into one.
