John Maynard Keynes is alleged to have said ‘When the facts change, I change my mind — what do you do, sir?’ I am no fan of Keynes generally, but there is something to be said for that pithy ‘second-thoughts’ comment. It pains me to admit it, but the President’s address to the joint session of Congress put me in mind of Keynes’s observation. After all, was it not a rousing address? Even long-time critics acknowledged it. One described it as ‘a perfect blend of strength and empathy’. I have to agree. That same commentator wrote that ‘Tonight, I was moved and inspired. Tonight, I have hope and faith in America again.’
I think a lot of people fell that way. Many people agreed with him. Yes, it’s early days yet. But let’s face it. The President has already racked up significant victories. Think about his energy policy, his attack on illegal immigration, his efforts to dismantle or at least pare back the leviathan that is the administrative state, his proposals to reduce the tax burden for both businesses and individuals while also strengthening America’s military: in these and other initiatives has he not taken bold steps to fulfill his campaign promises to return power from Washington to the People and ‘make America great again’.
Oops: I was talking about the wrong speech! That was about Donald Trump’s 2018 State of the Union address, in which he called upon Americans to put aside the partisan passions that divide ... It was his next State of the Union address, in 2020, when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, sitting directly behind President Trump, capped the evening picking up a copy of the speech and tearing it in two.

These three... what have we done to deserve them?
LOL!
For the first two paragraphs, I wondered what this author was smoking...
Was that tonight?
what have we done to deserve them?

We failed to uphold the Constitution and prevent the Kenyan from Indonesia from the office the Constitution says he may not hold.
Forfeit part, lose all.
Joe then went on to describe what he called, without cracking a smile, the ‘American Rescue Plan’. In essence, it is the same plan that was outlined, but in more modest terms, by a certain Italian politician in the 1920s. ‘All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state.’
The word ‘jobs’ occurred nearly 50 times in tonight’s address. But here’s an embarrassing fact. Donald Trump’s economic policies led to the lowest general unemployment in decades. They led to the lowest minority unemployment in our history. They also led to a robust rise in wages at the lower end of the scale.
Joe did not mention any of that. Instead it was all Bernie Sanders-esque class warfare: raise taxes, eat the rich, take control of — well, everything.

And we have failed to pray as though all depends on God (which it does!)...
...while working as though it all depends on us.
Read beyond the first two paragraphs. They are talking about Trump not Bidet.
Three piles of runny dogsqueezins.
When Brit Hume says the best thing about his speach was that it was over......
...And He would do it during the live TV broadcast.
In a prefect world the God fearing citizens of this nation would have taken control from these God hating, world government buffoons long ago and run them out on rails.
As it is, I must think God is wondering why should he save a people not willing to save themselves.
And before it starts, I know there are individuals doing great and wonderous things in effort to save the republic. But let’s face it, as a people we let .gov take over our schools, our churches, our lives and as long as there is beer in the fridge and a game or Judge Judy on the tube, as a people, we are content to let them do as they please.
Touché!
I wish We The People would be more assertive against the Satanic reptiles who currently “govern” our Nation.
Biden is a thief and a liar. He will never be anything more than a worthless piece of garbage to me.
Could it be that he spoke in code for the bebeit of Putin and Xi?
We voted for them one way or another. Wrong ballots beget wrong consequences.
Displease God?
We allowed Communism to flourish and assume power here.
I couldn’t bear more than 30 seconds of SlowJoe&Ho’s speech. It was nothing but a rehash of insane Dimmocommie plans to ruin America. I was so relieved when it was over and I could watch reactions by trained observers I trust to it. There were no surprises, except for the betting pool that Biden went more than 15 minutes.
I had to look to see if it was the Babylon Bee (second paragraph).
