Everyone in my family is slowly falling to (getting) the vaccine. Peer pressure and the desire to travel, I guess.
If they didn't have that correct, why would anyone trust anything they said?
It is probably helpful for people at risk (seniors and preexisting conditions) to get the shot. Beyond that, life should return to normal everywhere.

Agreed. My son just had (presumably) COVID last week. It was like a mild cold for him. Thankfully I did not catch it. Our little gym that never had anyone in it shut down so we joined a new, big and crowded gym. I presume that is where he picked it up.
I’ve said it before. I’m not an anti vaxxer, but the push to get EVERYONE vaccinated just seems overly aggressive.

Reasonable people are not against getting “safe” vaccines. The problem is a) the info war politicization of the subject has been such one is not sure who/what to believe, b) the medical science of the new vaccines are not easy subject material for most people to understand beyond very simple levels, and c) the new vaccines dont have the long term studies to show there are or are not any long term concerns. Individuals have to set their own threshold as to what they define as a “safe” vaccine.
Well, currently NevaDUH is being held in check because our gov sissypants is following fauxcheeze’s rules. Supposedly to open back up with 100% capacity for establishments on 6/1. But............still mask up. Businesses are caught in a pickle due to the health department, gaming board and liquor licensing threats so........................... A few places are defiant in less populace areas. Masks are such a farce. And the desert seems littered with the ones that have blown out of the parking lots. Stoopidness.

Here in rural mo, life went beck to 2019-style a year ago, aside from people who work around food wearing masks. We had a three week lockdown and then went back to fairly normal except for no school. Kids went back to school 3-4 months ago, no masks, no social distancing. General population mask wearers are obese, old or unhealthy. Pretty sure jab takers are similar.
Nope. Everyone’s choice is just that. We’re still allowing some underserved “bipoc” the opportunity to have our doses. :-} You know because pedo joe asserts “some folks”(dog whistle?) can’t figure out how to make an appointment on that internet thing. Now they won’t have to.

As early as three months ago, they were showing kids getting the jab on the St Louis evening news with their Karen moms beaming with pride. The local evening news has become a jab infomercial. All very bizarre.
The wife used to bring colds and the flu home all the time after she started working at a nursing home and then 4-5 years ago it just stopped and we haven't been sick a day since. Guess we became immune to all flu and cold(coronavirus) strains. We're going to trust our immune systems for this COVID coronavirus since it seems to be working so well for everything else.
