George W. Bush described today's Republican Party as 'isolationist and nativist' and said it was not his vision of the what the GOP should be in his first live TV interview in three years.
The former president spoke to NBC's 'Today Show' as part of his book tour for his new tome, 'Out of Many, One: Portraits of America's Immigrants.'
In the interview he expressed his disappointment with the direction his political party has taken and the migrant crisis can be fixed with 'border enforcement with a compassionate touch'.

The country club republicans have repeatedly walked all over the republican values voters. They got real used to that relationship where they lie to us, betray us, do nothing for us and then we vote for them again and again because they hold leverage over us. Take their leverage away and see what happens though. They’ll start courting democrats and it won’t work. Then they’re toast. Then things get interesting around here.

He is ok with the democrats literally burning dozens of cities but is sicken by a peaceful protest where a unnamed and protected by Pelosi gunman murders a women walking down a hallway.

Bush elected Clinton. Besides, there wasn’t a dime’s worth of difference between them.

George W. Bush ... is concerned Taliban will take advantage of US troop withdrawal from AfghanistanOh, NOW he’s worried...didn’t seem to bother him much when he essentially campaigned against Trump in 2016 and 2020!

He had almost eight years to turn the Taliban into dust and instead managed to screw up everything beyond recognition. Bush’s failure to act decisively and strike when the iron was hot is why we are looking at defeat right now.

I disagree with your statement that just about every President up to Reagan possessing a strong sense of nationalism. Woodrow Wilson and the Presidents from FDR to Carter, with the partial exception of Eisenhower, were committed to internationalism, including helping establishing the United Nations and other worldwide institutions like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. After World War II, we engaged in two long no-win wars, with the Korean War directed by the U.N.

I only voted for Dub Yuh once and it was to keep that yutz Kerry the deserter out of the WH.
I even made a campaign contrib to the snotball - got a large envelope with DO NOT FOLD on it - inside was a photograph of the puke folded in half.
Republicans can screw up anything.

#72. You’re right. Woodrow Wilson fell short of establishing his League of Nations (a United Nations) when the Senate rejected it on Nov 19, 1919. Thirty-nine globalist Senators voted for it.
