FBI says it interviewed FedEx mass shooter last year

The former employee who shot and killed eight people at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis was interviewed by FBI agents last year, after his mother called police to say that her son might commit “suicide by cop,” the bureau said Friday.

Coroners released the names of the victims late Friday, a little less than 24 hours after the latest mass shooting to rock the U.S. Four of them were members of Indianapolis' Sikh community. The attack was another blow to the Asian American community a month after six people of Asian descent were killed in a mass shooting in the Atlanta area and amid ongoing attacks against Asian Americans during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Marion County Coroner's office identified the dead as Matthew R. Alexander, 32; Samaria Blackwell, 19; Amarjeet Johal, 66; Jaswinder Kaur, 64; Jaswinder Singh, 68; Amarjit Sekhon, 48; Karli Smith, 19; and John Weisert, 74.

The shooter was identified as Brandon Scott Hole, 19, of Indianapolis, Deputy Police Chief Craig McCartt told a news conference. Investigators searched a home in Indianapolis associated with Hole and seized evidence, including desktop computers and other electronic media, McCartt said.

Hole began firing randomly at people in the parking lot of the FedEx facility late Thursday, killing four, before entering the building, fatally shooting four more people and then turning the gun on himself, McCartt said. He said he did not know if Hole owned the gun legally.

“There was no confrontation with anyone that was there,” he said. “There was no disturbance, there was no argument. He just appeared to randomly start shooting.”

McCartt said the slayings took place in a matter of minutes, and that there were at least 100 people in the facility at the time. Many were changing shifts or were on their dinner break .

Oh, I see Indians are the same as Chinese, practically identical. Thanks for the insight, chief.

This isn’t the source that I remember, but it may be what was referenced.

One of the victims in the FedEx shooting in Indiana may have tried to thwart the gunman — pulling out his own gun in vain before being shot dead late Thursday. Levi Miller, who works at the plant in Plainfield just outside Indianapolis, was on break when he heard the quick succession of gunshots in the parking lot. “My friend at the time witnessed a man who was not part of the incident but also pulled out a gun from his truck to try and engage the shooter and he died because of it,” Miller said Friday morning on NBC’s “Today” show.

”I will BET that the killer was on psychotropic prescribed drugs.”

That would be some interesting information.

I think that’s already going on with ex’s, business competitors, etc. It’s a delicate tightrope to walk. I’m dead set against these so-called “red flag” laws pushed by the filthy democrats and already passed in some states.

It’s not a delicate tightrope at all. Free societies have implicit dangers. We need to suck it up, take personal responsibility. And stop whining when we find out the FBI didn’t arrest someone who hadn’t committed a crime.

“...when we find out the FBI didn’t arrest someone who hadn’t committed a crime.”

Ask Gen. Flynn, Roger Stone, and numerous others about that one! Seems they have no problem making life miserable for republicans since after all the FBI is an arm of the democrat party.

Thus proving my argument. Which world do you want to live in? Where they were done wrong, or that’s the right thing.

Indiana's Jake Laird law was one of the early red flag laws that allowed police to remove firearms from people who are a danger to themselves and others.

I guess gun control laws just don't work like the policiticans claim the do.

We are living in a world where it’s done wrong. Don’t have a choice.

But we DO have a choice. Every time you complain they should have arrested some guy who committed no crime you are accepting it when they do. You have the choice of what you demand. And when your demands are hypocritical you lose.

There are so many things wrong with this paragraph. Sikhs would not confused with the Chinese if the pandemic was a cause for revenge. Asia has more diversity of religion and politics than any continent. Lumping them together as Asians is definitely stereotypical. This AP writer is definitely a racist.

Well, Indians living in India, and Chinese living in China live on the same continent.

They are however different nationality's, ethnicity's, and vastly different cultures.

And you're welcome.

EXCELLENT POST

EVERY SENTENCE IS TRUE

Keystone cops AGAIN, if these bastards weren’t so busy trying to round up Trump supporters they could focus on REAL threats!!

These damn shooters are ALWAYS on FBI radar BUT never seem to be stopped, except of course 9/11 when these IDIOTS just seem to miss the entire plot completely!!

Most USELESS organization from top to bottom!!

Russia handed them the info on the Boson bombers on a silver platter BUT of course they chose to ignore them!!

IDIOTS!!!

The point is that the recent MSM focus on “anti-Asian” attacks was allegedly about anti-Chinese sentiment in response to coronavirus (supposedly fueled by the eeeeevil Trump and Republicans and people who can’t tell the difference between Chinese, Japanese, and Korean). But no one, not even the dumbest criminal on Earth, is going to confuse a Sikh with a Chinese. Putting them all under that umbrella and then bringing up that line about recent attacks on Asian Americans is pure propaganda.

I just can NOT believe the extent to which the FBI interviews these people and then cuts them loose. We’ve got laws on the books to prevent these things, why do they keep letting this happen?

I notice the mass murderers almost always happen when the democrats are in power. I believe just like they did with Fast and Furious that it is done on purpose to kill as many people as needed to force thru confiscation of our weapons. Once that is done then the real killing will happen.

Narrow minded.
