The California education department is considering implementing a statewide math framework that promotes the concept that working to figure out a correct answer in math is an example of racism and white supremacy invading the classroom.
The “Equitable Math” website states its training manual was funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the primary private source of funding for the Common Core State Standards.

“That truck is too heavy to drive across that bridge.”
The truck driver is black. Are you racist?
bm
On the road?
I think we’ve already taken the offramp to Idiocracy.
And....anyone who says “Latinx” should be ignored.
The end goal of any math problem is to work the right process to find the correct answer.
Race has nothing to do with this age old comprehention.
Thousands of years ago people of Color in Egypt managed to correctly comprehend and utilize geometry to build the pyramids.
Are these idiots trying to say that the minorities of this time are too damn stupid to be able to comprehend and solve the same math problems?
Since it is California that wants to implement feelings-based math curriculum, it is unlikely that the students taught this crap would ever pass a qualifying exam for any STEM course. So the question ‘would you want to fly on an airplane designed by an engineer trained in this math concept’ is moot ... there won’t be any.

This is the “perception is reality” on steroids. The problem is that Math and Physics doesn’t care about your perception. Think this is racist, go perceive yourself as safe and jump off a very high cliff. See if gravity cares about your perception at 9.8 m/s2
Perception isn’t reality, and while working a problem might get you some credit, wrong is still wrong.
It wasn’t sub Saharan Africans.
INSANE!
Many of the elementary math books out there are close to this now. They have estimation methods that are terribly flawed and suggest using such methods with laborious rules that are more complex than the simple rules for correct solutions.
There are no sub-Saharan pyramids. Just sayin’.
Balancing your checkbook is racist.
Driving on the designated side of the road is racist, too.
Hope when United Airlines hires one of these students down the road, they will try to get the right answer.
Knowing the right altitude is kind of important.
Can I use these same principles when figuring out my STATE INCOME TAX??
So tell us,... which races can’t get the correct answer?
(Not you, chief, the idiot who wrote this)
So that’s why PoC lag others in standardized testing; they’re expect to have the correct answer.
