Witness said the suspect was targeting a top manager, who was not on shift that day. Witness said an employee retrieve a gun out of his truck in an attempt to stop the shooter but was killed by the suspect.

The only option left is Brandon Scott Hole.

If EVERY employee was armed on their person in the building at work, the perpetrator may have only injured or killed one person (instead of 8 or 9 people) before one of the GOOD people/employees with firearms killed him ASAP.

I think you’re right. I’m betting on a crazed employee or former employee, but of course, I could always be wrong...and usually am!

Well. reverse logic would conclude that way.
Or maybe the shooter was just a part of the sub-rosa campaign to disarm America.
There are too many of these that do not make sense. The motive for the Las Vegas shooter killings of 168 people? Unknown. ( He also was a spook flyer with two registered air craft, one of which was summarily deleted from the FAA registry.
This shooter must have been crazy. Or was he driven crazy? As soon as he say LEO arrive on scene he did himself? Weird. Never fired at the LEOs? Doesn;t feel right somehow. Its as if he was triggered to shoot himself or as if he was shot remotely.I’d love to see the forensic results of his “suicide.”
There is no trace of Hole on the web, similar to the Las Vegas shooter. NO TRACE AT ALL.

My point being alcohol reduces inhibitions which, in turn, will increase shooting deaths exponentially. Telling a drunk with a 9mm that his girlfriend looks pretty good or your dog crapped on my lawn raises the chances of you getting shot in the face by said armed drunk ... period.
Arming everyone fixes nothing when you have mentally ill, addicts, and just plain stupid people with a chip on their shoulder. Unless that is your approach to reducing that population...along with some “acceptable” casualites.
To be clear....I love my guns and I am a career commbat veteran who will die to keep my rights mine. There is a population, the majority of the United States, who will not adapt EVER to a common carry world. The streets will be running with blood.

Ana Cabrera reported that the suspect, Brandon Scott Hole, was on authorities’ radar before the mass shooting.
“Authorities were warned about FedEx suspect’s potential for violence in the past, sources say,” she wrote on Twitter. “The suspect in the Indianapolis mass shooting was known to federal and local authorities prior to the attack.”
Cabrera added, “A family member of the suspected shooter reached out to authorities warning about the suspect’s potential for violence, according to three law enforcement sources briefed on the matter.”
Bob Segall, WTHR journalist, wrote, “An IMPD police report states Brandon Hole was arrested on March 3, 2020, when police were dispatched to a far Eastside house (the same house police and ATF searched this morning following the FedEx shooting). The report says police ‘seized shotgun from dangerous person.’”

Unfortunately, “potential for violence” is what they will say about every 2A supporter once the “caring Left” does their usual dance, and declares that it is “finally time to take action” and start disarming (without warrants) anyone that they don’t want having firearms. (That would be you and me.)

Bad things happen at times. Fact of life.
Most people who are patriots prefer supposedly “dangerous” liberty to supposedly “peaceful” slavery/STOLEN RIGHTS, etc.
Then the idiots shouldn’t be drinking to the point of being drunk.

I think it will have the opposite effect. The goal is to remove guns from people and if this was an automatic weapon, that strengthens the push to confiscate.

"My point being alcohol reduces inhibitions which, in turn, will increase shooting deaths exponentially."
Agreed. No carry while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
"Arming everyone fixes nothing when you have mentally ill, addicts, and just plain stupid people with a chip on their shoulder."
The majority of people who fail to control themselves or perceive reality are abusing drugs. Most people with alcohol problems are abusing drugs. Look at the statistics on drug abuse. Way too many in this country. If enough of them were busted and had records, many of them would stop carrying weapons. Murders would go way down.
And let's face it. This is a nation of bastards, who weren't properly raised by caring fathers. Many good fathers (along with the bad) were shut out of their children's lives. Many of the children of divorce were raised by mothers who did whatever pleased them in the moment. Bad boys, anyone? The super predators are here. Children need both good mothers and fathers. That doesn't include adultery, the partying that goes with it and irresponsibility.
One problem with disarming every person who's had a minor neurosis, is that many of them recover and become solid personalities (bush fever, temporary depression from living with psychopaths or physical illnesses, bad trivial habits, unwise use of time, etc.). Most of them are harmless, even when affected. The anti-Second-Amendment left is itching to disarm as many subgroups of the populations as possible.
Lucid members of those subgroups get fed up with being singled out and stop caring about the Second Amendment rights of others or even work against them. On top of that, many people who lack self-control and take risks will obtain firearms and carry them anyway.
Radical Democrat factions (feminists, for example) often issue a call to "stop" some kind of "violence" or other. We can't stop all violence. Human beings are not robots. There will always be violence.
So those who say that it would be better to give every person without a history of incompetence the benefit of the doubt for bearing arms have a good point. The trash will be taken out for the most part. Some innocent people will be killed along the way. But it's better than the old regime, when we were defenseless against those who carried anyway while looking for trouble.
