City officials have released videos and other material showing what happened the night police fatally shot 13-year-old Adam Toledo.
Thanks for the still shot. So, hands up, open, no gun anywhere in evidence. That’s murder.
All I can say is why would ANYONE want to be a city cop now?
A steady paycheck and the promise of a local-government pension in 30 years (which probably won’t even be there) is hardly enticing

Slow the video down to 1/4 speed. He pulls his hands out of his pockets to comply with “show my your hands” and is shot while doing so.

You can watch plenty of videos of perfectly calm people getting shot by police. Like the situation where a psychiatric nurse is in the street with a patient and doing everything that the police tell him to do, while explaining what the situation is. He still gets shot. Fortunately he was not killed, just wounded.
Saw a similar video from a few years ago, the kid put his hand to his back and drew fast even though the cop was already aiming at him. He got 6 in the chest real fast.
They released the video and it was so apparent that the cop was correct.
This one is almost the same. I’m sure a slow motion of the video will show that. Plus another report said the kid had GSR on his hand, meaning he had very recently fired a weapon.
I think the bullet is already on it’s way in that photo.
There is a moral to the story.. If police tell you to halt. Halt. If they tell you to lay on the ground do it. Put your hands behind your back do it.. You will probably survive!! Don’t fight with the police they win almost every time!!!
You are not qualified at any level to make that pontification. None of us are.
Bad things tend to happen to 13 year olds running around in a big city by themselves at 2:30 AM ...
BLM has already hitched their wagon. Its gonna be a violent night.

The miscreant had thrown the gun behind the fence through an opening to the left of it and turned as he was raising his hands which were empty at the time of the turning. The video body cam images showed the gun laying there behind the fence and to the left of the opening about 5-6 feet away from the dead criminal’s head.(filmed when the shooting cop stepped away to let others do cpr and the cop stepped around the fence opening where he filmed the gun...no throw downs can be alleged of the cops).
The hoodlum ditched the gun and raised his hands as he turned but the cop was moving so fast, I doubt the cop could fully assess on the run whether the kid was an actual threat or not. So he fired thinking the kid was armed. The cop is screwed now...though I don’t think he should be.
...and head for the house.
And thank goodness for bodycam video.
