‘Woke’ hiring: Endorsing Trump is top reason for job rejection

The business world’s discrimination against anything “Trump” has reached an epidemic level, touching former aides to the president, anybody pictured near the Jan. 6 Capitol protest, and now those who endorsed him on social media posts.

A new survey of hiring managers provided to Secrets found that backing Trump on social media is the top reason to reject a job applicant.

The apparent reason: Human resources departments want to avoid “tiffs” between employees.

“Likely to avoid future office tiffs, a significant portion of hiring managers admitted to negatively judging candidates based on the political content posted. For 27% of hiring managers, social media posts endorsing Donald Trump for president would negatively impact their decision to hire a candidate,” read the analysis of the poll done for Skynova, an online business software company.

Not surprised. I knew a guy that worked in a very blue area and would use his real name on twitter to post all sorts of what would now be called ‘problematic’. I warned him he could get blacklisted over that.

Never EVER post on twitter with you real name. Better to avoid it entirely. Anything you say on there can and will be used against you at some point. So many people ruining their lives over this stupid site. And a lot of times it’s people saying acceptable things at the time and then a few years later it’s ‘banned’ speech.

I believe it. The middle class is being entirely destroyed very quickly. It’s turning into a pyramid shaped society with a huge bottom, smaller middle, and tiny top. I do think Glenn Beck alluded to this yesterday? Anyone who is a republican or runs a conservative based business model needs our support financially.

If a business doesn’t act ‘woke’ they will be sure you go broke.

But in many ways it feels very much like they are pushing to create business ghettos, sort of along the lines of what happened in Germany with Jewish businesses.

Get the HELL off of social media! Starve the damn beast. They’ve cowed you all into this mindset that you need social media to “stay in touch.” No you don’t! Think back to how you connected before the Internet, and stop with the whiny, crybaby BS. Social media is a cancer. You keep going back to it like it’s this warm blanket.

Very astute. That is exactly what is happening. I recently completed my second vaccine and thought I might have it laminated in the shape of a yellow star. The first step is isolation. Then they will criminalize. Then you know what happens next. Stay off of social media. You don’t need it.

At his twitter doesn’t make any money. With a basic adblocker I never see any ads. I follow a few news sites and space stuff, that’s it.

Interestingly enough, they are planning on making it pay-per-view. Somehow they think people will be to sub, basically turning it into an OnlyFans.com clone (Avoid that place at all costs too).

Problem is there’s a lot of simps out there that will probably go ahead and give some money for tweets. Talk about the bottom of the barrel.

HR departments are no longer the traditional personnel work, they are now the Political Department. Much like in China, each factory, even if it is not part of a government owned enterprise, has a group of CCP representatives, loyal only to the Party.
On January, I deleted my Facebook, leaving LinkedIn as my only social media presence. I have always limited my postings and comments there to business, technical, and industrial safety subjects.
A new Facebook page will go up soon since no Facebook page is another red flag for the zampolits. It will be all desinformatsiya and maskirovka, feigning loyalty to the Party.

I know of a number of Trump supporters in engineering and science with years of experience, whereas HR is full of folks from Humanities who can’t do math, though they may be well up to the task of dragging everything down into a censorious perdition.

If it is also true that Groupthink leads to disastrous organizational decision making, and that an organization that encourages self-censorship encourages groupthink.

I’m glad you said “most”. I’m one of those who have been working for Fortune 500 companies for the past 30 years.

I also think this goes the other way. There’s gotta be a fair amount of conservatives that check social media history and won’t hire a flaming leftist.

That’s why you never, unless maybe if you’re a celebrity, post under your own name on social media. It doesn’t matter which side you take on history, current events, past or future predictions, you’re going to make enemies and someday that could very well haunt you.

Social media has its uses. For example, I keep in touch with my fraternity brothers from the late 1970s. We have a FaceBook group and have virtual meet-ups because we are all scattered across the country. The most important lesson I learned from being in a fraternity was that we did not have to agree on everything to live together in community. We learned to listen to one another and come to a consensus. When we had to reach a consensus, we followed Robert's Rules of Order and would listen to pro and con arguments until there were only thoughts from one side. The we voted and moved on. It really works.

This type of discrimination has been going on in education for decades. That is why our universities and colleges have no diversity of thought anymore.

Hollywood does this as well.

It has become more and more common in business as the HR departments are flooded with leftists that see no problem with political discrimination. It started with sexual harassment and has progressed from there.
