Reform of the police is no longer enough, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said on Tuesday, as she joined fellow 'squad' member Rashida Tlaib in calling for the police to be abolished.
The New York congresswoman responded on Tuesday to the killing of another black man, Daunte Wright, 20, in a Minneapolis suburb on Sunday. He was killed by a white policewoman, Kimberly Potter, who shot him in the chest at a traffic stop in what Brooklyn Center police chief said was an accident, when she meant to reach for her Taser.
'Daunte Wright's killing was not a random, disconnected 'accident' - it was the repeated outcome of an indefensible system that grants impunity for state violence, rewards it w/ endlessly growing budgets at the cost of community investment, & targets those who question that order,' said Ocasio-Cortez.

Let me know when these idiots in Congress get rid of their own Capital Hill police force, then get back to me with defunding the police.
After several thousand burglars, car thieves, and rapists get shot or hanged by the public, the Democrats will be screaming for the police to be on the job again.
The cops are all that stand between criminals and a vigilante system of justice. Let that sink in.
They want to nationalize the police force so we have federal law enforcement everywhere. NO local control
AOC calls law enforcement an ‘indefensible system’ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
For some one who allegedly receives so many “death threats”, Cortez is either brain dead, exceedingly naive or both.
When it comes to her own personal safety, Cortez does not hesitate to use our systematically racist law enforcement.
AOC even sends our systematically racist police to investigate those who attack her policies on twitter

I can hardly wait to see her lose her seat in Congress. She deserves ignominy.
Agreed! She wants more Capital police to protect her and none for her constituents. What a vile human.
These people are somehow not turning away middle class Americans from the Democrat party. I know nobody that believes this but many voting for the people who do. Maddening.
So, they will ban all law enforcement/cops? Uh...how exactly will they...uh...enforce this?
I’m all for punishing cops when they screw up, according to the crime. But going full on anarchy like these idiots want, talk about throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
Let the dems abolish the police in the cities they run, and let us know how it works out.
You know what I say, let them do it, but I do not want to hear the whining when people arm themselves.
“(Minority kids failing in the public education system) is not a random, disconnected ‘accident’ - it was the repeated outcome of an indefensible system that grants impunity for (failure) and rewards it w/ endlessly growing budgets at the cost of community investment, & targets those who question that order,’ said Ocasio-Cortez.”
Off topic correction but carries much more truth.
The day they honor a dead cop in the Rotunda behind their Iron Curtain.
The world laughs at the US when they see the mental capacity of those who we have elected to lead!
“After several thousand burglars, car thieves, and rapists get shot or hanged by the public,...”
What’s the downside?

I wish they would stop this insanity about eliminating the police. I’d like to be able to afford some practice rounds in my lifetime.
That is crystal to clear to a lot of us. Not so much to those who want to abolish the police. I'm waiting for them to tell us what will replace the police. Abolishing the police means no more patrol officers, detectives, records systems, jails, and courts.
Anarchy is not a sustainable state. It must necessarily give way to something else. Those driving this agenda know this, even if perhaps AOC is a dupe.
