HUNGRY McDonald's customers were met with a brutally honest sign explaining why their Big Mac and fries might be a little late.
The branch in the United States went viral after a small yellow sign that said their staff "didn't want to work anymore".
Above the order here instructions, the sign read: "We are short-staffed. Please be patient with the staff that did not show up. No one wants to work anymore."
The blunt note was spotted by Brittany Jade on TikTok and posted a video of the hilarious sign.
"Y'all. Our McDonald's is savage AF," Brittany wrote in the caption.
In the comments to the video, many have shown their support to over-worked staff.
One person wrote: “So true, don’t get mad at the ones there working. They aren’t the reason it’s short-staffed.”

Actually, that’s how China is CLEANING OUR CLOCK, by working hard. We just spoil our kids and give them video games to get them out of our hair.
The top guys are cleaning our clock. CCP and billionaires. They have to put up nets on buildings to keep the average worker from suicide. It’s basically hopeless in their system unless you’re extremely well connected. Working hard or not doesn’t really matter much.
I've noted on past threads that my professional career began in the military, where it was often stated, "Nobody is irreplaceable." Any time I heard it, it was not a slight or intended to diminish the value of any individual, but more to serve as a reminder that any soldier could be suddenly called to step up to the plate to fill the boots of the person above them.
When I transitioned to the private sector, a lot of managers and executives casually would say, "Anybody can be replaced," and usually when they said that it was dripping with contempt, and usually directed at an individual. When I heard it, I usually took it in the context of that manager or executive indulging in self-aggrandizement and what they were really saying is, "I can replace him/her/you." In theory, yes, anybody can be replaced, and certainly that manager or executive probably had the authority to "replace," the person they were talking to, or about. What struck me as highly peculiar is that it seemed these power tripping managers or executives in privately owned, for-profit organizations cavalierly would talk about replacing current employees, seemingly without considering what it would actually cost to replace them, particularly in terms of training, experience, institutional knowledge, established relationships with clients, etc.
Yes, anybody can be replaced, and sometimes it is quite necessary to do so, but generally, and certainly with a long established employee, it would be wise to quietly think long and hard about the real cost(s) of replacing somebody rather than loudly and casually tossing about how easy it would be to do so.
Doesn’t matter, they killing us economically.
Actually in the new normal it probably will.
As we move into this 4th industrial revolution the prediction is for a near 50% permanent unemployment rate for quite a while as people are reskilled. This brings in the Universal Basic Income.
Thanks in huge part for Clinton’s most favored trading partner setup and nobody else pulling the plug either after the horse got out of the barn. If by the mid 2000s decade we would’ve clamped down hard, it could’ve been different. Pretty much too late now though.

When I was young I would use these low ballers for a paycheck and look for other/better jobs on the clock. I hated these stupid pikers....

Awhile back I worked for a fairly small company. A manager told us that we’re in the most profitable part of the company. Paid awful. He also flat out said ‘You need to work harder because I get bonuses from that, and you guys get to keep your jobs’. And he wasn’t joking either.

Same thing happened in DH’s defense contractor’s company — one of the top in the country — over ten years ago before he retired from there. They resorted to hiring older retired ex-employees as they were the only ones with a work ethic.

Hubby thought the same thing. Then he realized his employer was more focused on social justice than protecting the country and producing anything serious. It helped him.
That reminds me of a nice story about my dad. He did a lot of hiring of brilliant, highly degrees engineers in the aerospace field in the 50s and 60s fo very demanding, highly complex systems design. One of the interview questions he asked candidates was “You are waiting for the interviewer for a position to show up, but he is running late. The room you are waiting in is a mess and there’s a push broom leaning against the wall. What do you do?”
The answer dad was looking for is obvious, but he got a lot of prima donna applicants who would never demean themselves to touch a broom. Such jobs were for the janitors, not the highly degrees brilliant men. They would reply that they would sit there until the interviewer showed up.
It wasn’t an automatic DQ, but it provided a bit of information about the man’s character and desire to work no matter what the job.
