Unfortunately the China vaccine is the one “donated” to the Philippines in mid March. I was asked if I wanted it but declined. The Astra Seneca vaccine was going to be available but got pulled because of the controversy about it in other countries.
Like so much of the garbage made in China, the ChiCom Virus vaccine is so bad, it barely works half the time.
Bet it’s lower than that.

But according to worldometer China had only 10 new cases in the previous 24 hours. That would indicate success if these numbers are true. The CCP wouldn’t lie would they?

It bears observing that the Sinovac vaccine referenced in this article is currently the leading ‘traditional’ vaccine, made using killed virus with a adjuvant (chemical irritant to make the body notice and attack it in order to learn how to fight the live virus) added.
Again, THIS IS THE FULLY TRADITIONAL VACCINE. And it doesn’t work.
Worth noting that the Russians, who wouldn’t be buying into any “vaccine industrial complex” from the West nor would they fall to US hysteria over the virus:
1. Found it enough of a threat to make their own vaccines, and,
2. Decided that the traditional killed/weakened virus based vaccine wouldn’t work and went down the same 30+ year old tech path as Johnson and Johnson and AstraZeneca did, except they stayed with human adenoviruses as carriers as J&J did as opposed to a chimpanzee adenovirus like AZ did.
The Russians aren’t stupid.
Um, there are other techniques that aren’t full-traditional-killed-virus or mRNA. The Chinese did the former. The Russians, Johnson & Johnson, and AstraZenica all used the “deactivated carrier virus mocked up to look like COVID-19” method.

We’ve known the official Chinese numbers were lies from very early last year when someone in Hong Kong leaked some of the real numbers on a media outlet there. You can see what the Chinese did after that.

No, because China’s vaccine has been distributed widely enough that outside labs have gotten doses to examine outside of officially submitted samples. This IS a killed virus vaccine, fully traditional. It’s been checked; the Sinovac offering is the base, original virus strain with an adjuvant. It’s not the second ingredient in a biowarfare cocktail.
It’s the kind of vaccine that a significant number of people here on FR have been waiting for. The problem is that this is exactly the first kind of vaccine you would engineer your bioweapon to not be susceptible to. It’s not like we don’t have natural viruses afflicting humanity that a traditional vaccine won’t work with - HIV, some versions of herpes, ebola and Marburg, just off the top of my head.
That’s actually the problem with biowarfare. It’s easier to make a biowarfare agent than it is to make treatments or vaccines against the agent.
Anthrax has been used as a bioweapon. Japan first used modified anthrax spores on Chinese troops and villages in 1932. A human anthrax vaccine (5 shots given over 18 months) was not developed until the 1970s... and it wasn’t by Japan.

By the way, the tech behind this BioThrax vaccines was a precursor to the tech in the Johnson and Johnson and Astra Zenica vaccines, as well as the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. It is not mRNA based in the least.
