President Biden on Thursday announced a slew of new gun control measures after a recent pair of high-profile mass shootings, and insisted the Second Amendment doesn’t grant an absolute right to own guns.

Biden presented the executive actions in the Rose Garden, joined by Attorney General Merrick Garland and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“No amendment to the Constitution is absolute,” Biden maintained, pointing to the famous Supreme Court ruling that you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater as part of the First Amendment’s free speech clause.

So Biden wants to be known as the president who struggles against the Constitution and against the law abiding majority. And obviously, he doesn’t intend to do enough about urban crime.

@ 103 - Our Constitution was written for a republic with Judeo-Christian values. Our nation is not that anymore. One can see why many have a hard time with it’s founding documents. If people can’t govern themselves they will want the Government to do it for them.

Then why did this @sshole take an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution?

Cannon during the Revolutionary War were privately owned. Machine guns, up until 1934 could be purchased by mail order.

Not only that, but the Constitution specifically mentions Letters of Marque. A Letter of Marque implies, of not outright requires the possession of military-grade arms.

The Constitution, as intended by the writers of same would have been quite comfortable with you owning a BAR or a howitzer.

This gun control thing really makes me mad. we have a “right” found in penumbra and emanations to killing manchild in a womb no questions asked and maybe the government should pay for it so everyone can take advantage of it!

But self-defense? Defense of our families? No.
