Am I wrong, it does not sound like much
They are admitting this is ONLY the beginning!
The practice of eo’s as law is a fundamental problem you need to be against per separation of powers
Second you know its all about the interpretation of certain words and phrases
Third you know from their own internal leaked documents and taped meetings, their real goals is disarming all people, under the guise of incrementalism and more and more so-called “common sense” laws
Why are you still fooled by this stuff? Dont you know who you are dealing with?
Frog, meet pot...
They’ve now opened the floodgates to unlimited EOs to get their gun removal and confiscation agenda done, bypassing US Congress, where it’d be killed in the US Senate. Look for a lot of court challenges.
The Executive Proclamations themselves don’t sound like much, but his appointment of Chipman could be troublesome...
Incremental. They will keep adding to it.
No, it never sounds like much but they continue to
eat away at the Constitution.
What you think it means is not what THEY think it means.
Consider how these can be used apart from how YOU would
use them...
The Justice Department, within 60 days, will publish model “red flag” legislation for states.
The Administration is investing in evidence-based community violence interventions.
It mentions the BATF, which usually ends up with dead citizens.
It probably isn’t, and a bunch of states have said they won’t abide by unconstitutional edicts. The whole purpose of these moves is to provoke someone to violence. They can then use that to crack down on more people as they did after the January 6 “insurrection”.
Every step in the wrong direction, is the start of a journey
in the wrong direction.
We have very hard time rolling back bad rulings.
Once they are done, good luck.
It does not sound like much except it signals exactly what criminal democrats have wanted all along and that is to completely outlaw all firearms.
Molon labe.
Yes ... mostly feel good BS stuff.
The short barreled rifle laws have never made much sense to me. Adding a stock to a pistol doesn’t make it any more deadly and makes it less concealable. Having a short barrel on a rifle caliber weapon will make it less powerful and less accurate.
They would love to have a fed registry and licensing of all firearms, which is what this is leading up to.
Ghost guns are gun build kits, repair parts, etc. That’s big.
“Am I wrong, it does not sound like much”
The biggest ones are the first two. They are going to try to make illegal for people to manufacture their own firearms for personal use without filing paperwork with Big Brother (so called ‘ghost’ guns). Not really enforceable for obvious reasons.
The second is the business about stabilizing braces getting around the 1934 NFA regulations on short barrel rifles. There will be ugly lawsuits over that because BATFE has approved these devices for use for a very long time. I kind of expect BATFE might make an announcement on the matter, and then never bother enforcing it.
The rest of it is bluster.
I am kind of surprised that they didn’t ban importation of cheap ammo from eastern Europe and Russia. Maybe Putin wrote Biden a check, that would be about his speed.
Overall it isn’t much. It kind of makes me think that they are aware they can’t quite torpedo the filibuster to pass something really heinous, or their internal polling is telling them that trying for an AWB might result in an electoral catastrophe for them. Typically, when administrations start slinging EOs around like this, it’s because they know Congress isn’t going to do anything.
Be ware of communists looking for your guns or red flags.
My bad, you got answered 30 times.
“The Administration is investing in evidence-based community violence interventions.”
They will look for social media and other info to identify “pre-violent” groups and individuals based on common traits with conservative, Christian, patriotic, classically educated, traditional family values oriented, strait, male, meat-eating, law-abiding, U.S. citizens.
Am I right?
No more ghost guns. If you, like myself, have been wanting to finish an 80% receiver, you'll be affected directly, along with thousands of other law abiding citizens. Of course, this does nothing to stop mass shootings or gun violence. When was the last time a "ghost gun" was used in a mass shooting? They haven't been. Instead, this rule will ONLY affect law abiding citizens who are hobbyists and like the DIY approach.
Moving another commie into a position of power?
