Outdoor clothing company Patagonia announced on Monday that it would donate $1 million to multiple voting rights groups in Georgia in direct response to the restrictive voting legislation that recently passed in the state.
In a press release, Patagonia celebrated the record amount of voter turnout seen in the 2020 election, reiterating the assessment made by many voting officials that they were "safe, secure elections."
"But instead of celebrating democracy in action, a group of lawmakers in Georgia and states across America are doing everything in their power to make it harder for their constituents to vote," Patagonia CEO Ryan Gellert said.
"Protecting our democracy is an all-hands-on-deck commitment that's ongoing. Standing in solidarity with Black CEOs and business leaders, I call on fellow CEOs to join in denouncing these attacks on our democracy and to do more than make a corporate statement," Gellert continued.
Gellert stated that the $1 million donation would be divided equally between the Black Voters Matter Fund and the New Georgia Project.

Checked their website. They’re woke af. Never buy from them.
I love my Patagonia nanotech jacket. I’ve tried others and it still wins. I’ll wear what I own. It would not be conservative to do otherwise. But this company really, really sucks. I wish we had no labels on our clothes.
I don’t buy their “WOKE” Sh*t.
What's driving this? Many people have pointed out to SEIU's not subtle extortion letters it sent to both Delta and Coca-cola, essentially threatening to wage proxy wars on the respective companies using the union's enormous retirement funds. Patagonia is of course a private company so likely their activism is more organic than Delta's or Coke. But, that doesn't make the corporate funding of our unprecedented national lurch leftward any less real...or damaging.
Patagonia has been a leftist company for decades so no surprise here.
I heard they are offering FREE CLOTHING AND GEAR to ALL Disaffected VGo0ters in every State?? And if I am on the Jury, I will vote NOT Guilty for those appropriating their needs from these stores.
What brand of Sweater is Cancun Cruz wearing?
Thanks for the photo. Cruz may have gotten the Patagonia jacket from his leftist brother-in-law as I have from my LEFTIST BIL.
I would like to know I would buy one
200 corporations have chosen to back MLB’s move in Georgia.
It’s amazing how many corporations have people at the helm
who can’t see anything wrong with dead people, people who have moved away, and people who are not Citizens being left on the rolls.
Some form of authentication takes place with every transaction
those corporations are involved in.
Someone refuses to make payment, well hell, give the
merchandise to them anyway.
Only a racist wouldn’t, right?
I’ve got a great idea. From now on no verification should
take place with any transaction those corporations are
involved in.
Just Google Patagonia.
I’m sure you can find one from a Woke reseller
made by a Woke Manufacturer..
Their CEO s a CCP stooge
Follow the money. Every ceo or corporation that has criticized GA’s voting law has deep connections to China.
That is complete and utter bullshite!
Gellert stated that the $1 million donation would be divided equally between the Black Voters Matter Fund and the New Georgia Project....
Corporate Marxism.
Can you remove the label.
Several years ago, I bought online some fabric based shoes that had the company’s name in 2 places on each shoe. Annoyed the heck out of me, so I carefully removed the labels. Took a long time, but it was worth it.
CEOs are giving in to the woke mob and Big Business is becoming the enforcer of the hard Left. pic.twitter.com/kC5gx2qq0c— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) April 6, 2021
Like Ted-and some other FReepers, I’ll bet-I have a Patagonia item -a fleece vest-worn under my down jacket and with cold weather boots, the combination kept me warm in February’s snow and frigid temps while hiking around looking to see how close to my place any mountain lion and coyote tracks were-so I’ll be keeping that vest-but it will be the last Patagonia item I buy-woke needs to go broke...
true that!!!
