She cites New York Police Department data to write, “a black New Yorker is over six times as likely to commit a hate crime against an Asian as a white New Yorker.”
“In 2020,” she writes, “blacks made up 50 percent of all suspects in anti-Asian attacks in New York City, even though blacks are 24 percent of the city’s population. Whites made up 10 percent of all suspects in anti-Asian attacks in 2020 in New York City but account for 32 percent of the city’s population.”
So she doesn’t argue that Asians don’t have good reasons to worry about their families and communities. She only wants to make sure the left or “woke” don’t get to shift all of the blame to systemic white racism. Fair enough. Crime is a complex issue, regardless of the community.

Screw this clown and his apologist rambling defending the indefensible. The reason Ms. MacDonald had to write that piece is that liars like him nad his woke adherents were clearly trying to sweep the ongoing black violence against Asians (decades long) under the rug and shifting the blame to President Trump’s rhetoric.
Black violence is disproportionate regardless of the race of the victim. It is a remnant of their Southern heritage, a region where violence historically was relatively high, and which has been perpetuated by continuing dysfunctional black subculture in northern cities. Page would do his readers a service by addressing this as a black problem and not related to racial tensions. After all, most victims of black violence are themselves black.

My one complaint is that Clarence Page considered Heather MacDonald’s reporting on the issue (in her response to the media blaming “white” racism) as “provocative” when all that Heather did was put the issue in some factual data based context that showed the matter is not one of “white racism”.
Other than that, Clarence did not come off as a Leftist firebrand.
Regardless of your race or heritage, individual accountability is at the core of criminal law. Only the individual can be held ultimately accountable for their actions. Race, place of origin, and economic circumstance are being used by liberals to absolve people of responsibility for their cruel actions. Society cannot exist if people are not responsible for their actions. At the core of this destructive thinking is the liberal tenet that free will does not exist.
If only there were some handheld device that small women could use to protect themselves from larger, stronger violent men, white, Black or Asian!
By accepting this fool’s premise that this is a racial issue, we allow him and other socialists to dodge the issue of criminals roaming the streets while the elite prevent “citizens” from defending themselves.

If I were conspiracy minded I might come to the conclusion that the govt and mefia were stoking any conflict between any racial groups for their own purposes.
