It seems as though there is no end to the stupidity in any of the major league sports organizations. In the long run, that’s okay by me. I have much more time and money to spend on activities that I can really enjoy while being productive at the same time.

“the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport”

That's one way to describe useless virtue signaling. I used to love baseball but I don't remember ever going to see anyone's values. Play ball, dammit. Or don't, I no longer care.

MLB is going to regret this.

Many people see the sport as a long boring game.

Just at a time when the sport is struggling to stay above
water, they chose to insult every law abiding citizen who
loves this nation and wants to see honest elections.

Many of MLB’s fans are bedrock Conservatives.

Adios schmucks...

MLB and pro sports in general are operating under the faulty premise that they can get away with insulting their customers. Soon their greedy owners will be pleading for fans to come back and fill the ballparks and stadiums and buy their outrageously priced food and concessions.

The problem for them is wokeness doesn’t sell.

Beijing version.
In US city soon.

Announcer: Pleasah kneeling onto bending knee to praise Mostah Excellent Premier Xi. (on scoreboard image with all in park cheering hyserically). Welcome to Anti-America base-ah-ball game. (Chinese soldiers carry Chinese flag onto home plate as crowd kneels.)

Fan to second fan: Don’t take the vendor’s chicken nuggets. They aren’t chicken.

"Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box.

Dear MLB: Please describe in detail and enumerate the restrictions to the ballot box of which you speak.

Heritage, I remember them, they used to be an effective org for conservative causes until they were overrun with GOPe types. Anderson is correct, of course, but no one pays attention to Heritage anymore, including the GOP.

“ Maybe they should move to Beijing,”

They might consider it...corporate America wants a fascist dictatorship every bit as much as our political class does.

I would love to be able to “cross examine”, if you will, all these companies and sports commissioners and corporate people about all these statements that this law is discriminatory.

I would like a “Perry Mason” type to be able to ask questions such as :

1. Why is it said to be discriminatory to require an ID to vote? And given that this requirement applies to all voters, not just voters of certain races or ethnic groups, how is it discriminatory?

2. Doesn’t the fact that we have expanded early voting under this new bill, make it easier to vote, not more difficult to vote? And given that this applies equally to all, how is it discriminatory against any group of people?

3. Doesn’t the fact that requiring an ID for absentee/mail in ballots, make them more secure, and isn’t that a good thing? Is it a good thing to “plug a hole” in the election security, and chain of custody of ballots?

4. And to Rob Manfred in particular, ask him, is baseball planning to make decisions from now on based on laws in individual states on other laws too, such as abortion laws, gun control, laws perceived to discriminate against “LGBT”, etc? Exactly where is your sport drawing the line, as far as changing business activities due to laws which the liberal side of our politics disagree with?

The MLB does not give a crap about this voting law. They are supporting Communism pure and simple.

I hope they wake up and realize communist countries don't have dozens of billion dollar pro sports franchises. In commie countries they don't rake in billions and live like kings like pro sports insiders do here. The pro sports American gravy train might just end before their very eyes, just as did our free elections. Maybe MLB should ask FoxNews how supporting communism is working out for them.

Bad decision, caving and catering to #woke fascists. This is going to cost them ticket sales, viewership, and revenue, and they won’t be able to figure out why. (The NFL still hasn’t.)

If it bothers them that much, maybe they should move the Braves out of Atlanta. There are plenty of cities that would love to have them; they’re a pretty good team.

George Carlin was right: Political correctness is fascism pretending to be manners.
