Pfizer, Moderna COVID Vaccines Safe for Pregnant Women

The Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna coronavirus vaccines are safe and effective in pregnant and breastfeeding women, according to a new study published Thursday in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

The study also found that mothers can pass antibodies to their newborns.

“That’s a very important piece of information to our patients,” Andrea Edlow, MD, the senior study author and a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital, told ABC News.

“We know that this vaccine works for you,” she added.

The research team studied a group of 131 women who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, including 84 pregnant, 31 breastfeeding and 16 non-pregnant women. All three groups had similar high antibody levels. The study also found no significant differences in vaccine side effects between pregnant and non-pregnant women.

Compared to pregnant women who had recovered from COVID-19, pregnant women who received the vaccine had “strikingly higher” antibody levels, the authors wrote. In addition, women who received the Moderna vaccine had higher antibody levels than those who received the Pfizer vaccine.

The research team also found that vaccine-generated antibodies were present in all of the umbilical cord and breast milk samples that were tested, which suggests that pregnant women and breastfeeding women can pass COVID-19 antibodies to their fetuses and newborns.

“That is the most comforting piece of information that’s out there,” Galit Alter, MD, one of the study authors and a professor of medicine at the Ragon Institute in Massachusetts, told ABC News.

The research team found neutralizing antibodies in the blood of pregnant women, which indicates that the antibodies can kill the coronavirus.

This new study contradicts the Idiot Doctor Fauci’s statement in another thread.

It’s just causing a 400% increase in miscarriages, according to one recent news article.

BS. This is not conclusive. I’d never allow my pregnant wife this vaccine

The research team studied a group of 131 women who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, including 84 pregnant, 31 breastfeeding and 16 non-pregnant women.

In view of the fact that COVID-19 has a 99.8% survival rate and thus a 0.2% mortality rate, is this test group large enough to determine whether the vaccine is perhaps actually more lethal than the virus, itself?

The study also found no significant differences in vaccine side effects between pregnant and non-pregnant women.

What does that tell us? That an approx. equal number of pregnant and non-pregnant women experienced dizziness, vomiting, skin rashes, etc. after receiving the vaccine? And what about the control group? How did they fare? I.e., how many of them experienced dizziness, vomiting, skin rashes, etc. after NOT receiving the vaccine?

Regards,

TY. I totally agree! I won’t take it either. The people get the immunizations now are the real clinical trials.

When a firefighter says that he smells smoke, people pay attention. When medical professionals everywhere are refusing to take this immunization, people should pay attention.

I shall never, ever forget the name of that drug Thalidomide. I recall being very young, seeing black and white photos of the many severely deformed children who were the result of their mothers taking this drug. I think it was supposed to be a sedative. Some of these people may still be living, mostly in Europe.
Ask anyone over 64 if they remember those articles.

Well, you judge. IMHO, independent, free choice between vaccination or no vaccination is a good thing.

https://abcnews.go.com/Health/pfizer-moderna-safe-effective-pregnant-women-provide-antibodies/story?id=76675301

“...Pregnancy is considered to be a risk factor for severe COVID-19, including increased risk for hospitalization and death from the virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As of March 22, more than 80,500 pregnant women in the United States had been infected with the virus and 88 had died, the CDC found....

Both researchers hope that examples like their study encourage pharmaceutical companies to offer pregnant women the opportunity to participate in future vaccine studies, even beyond COVID-19.

“Otherwise this population sits at home cowering because they have no idea what to do,” Alter said.

Both Pfizer and Moderna have caused miscarriages within 4 days after the 2nd shot. It's just STUPID to kill your child in progress with this "vaccine". Percentages don't matter at all when it is YOUR kid potentially being aborted. It can't happen if you don't allow "vaccination" of pregnant women with these unsafe experiments.

My mom’s “coincidental rash” on the day of her second shot, she’s now claiming is a “spider bite”.

Because spiders commonly just walk up onto your face and bite you in your sleep *all* the time.

I give up.

Nothing in my post could be construed as being against independent, free choice.

But "free choice" is impossible without accurate information.

This article is an example of inaccurate information. By providing half-truths and incomplete information, the article serves to confound our ability to make informed decisions.

It’s an experimental injection. People who are currently taking it are part of the trial phase.

Look up “Population Control” and Bill Gates. These psychopaths will stop at nothing.

Didn't Fauci Goebbels just say it wasn't safe for children and pregnant women?

I agree completely with that. And I think the study’s authors do also and that is why they recommend that pregnant women be afforded the opportunity to participate in future vaccine trials. Fortunately my wife was not pregnant when we decided to get the Moderna vaccine. That certainly would have made our decision making process much more difficult.

No, he said that safety for those groups had NOT YET BEEN PROVEN since they were excluded from the earlier Phase 3 trials that proved safety for trial participants.

Of course. I remember. And Thalidomide survivors in the US have even created their own organization and website.

https://usthalidomide.org/

Perhaps at some time in the future, there will be an “experimental Covid-19 shot survivors’ organization”...

By all means!

Pregnant women should be afforded the "opportunity" to participate in all kinds of future trials - on the effects on pregnancy of, e.g., sky-diving, being shot out of a cannon, bungee-jumping, being injected with experimental serums, etc.

More power to them, if they want to be guinea pigs.
