Aww...I’d hate for the red dogwood blooms to be ruined. They have to be gorgeous this year in full bloom.

Yeah, it’ll make me sick if the blooms get messed up. The tree was in such bad shape when I got it but I was determined to pamper it to good health. It’s bloomed every year but hasn’t had this many buds until now.

Just got back from putting the sign out. Since I was out, I went to the P.O. to check our mail. In the short time I was gone, the temp went from 40 to 36. The last of the clouds have moved out so it’ll drop fast now.

Wow! That is a very fast drop in temperature. Brr. It’s about 51 here, and not sure if it’ll get as low as the 30s as promised, but it won’t be below freezing.

I sleep so much better when it’s cool than when it’s warm.

Yeah, it shocked me to see it drop that quickly. The last of the clouds had just moved out so we got the quick drop. It’s slowed since then.

I had to remind Hubby earlier that the heaters needed to be turned on in the two well houses so the pipes won’t freeze and burn up the pumps. We lost a pump several years ago when a darn spider shorted out a heater. An expense and a major hassle to replace.

Maybe it won’t get as cold there as predicted. Your kitties would appreciate that.

Yikes! You sure don’t need any frozen pipes right now. I hope he got the job done.

It’s 48 here....on it’s way to at least 39. Peaches is outside. I’ll bet he is wishing he’d stayed in. I’ll let him in soon and I need to go soon anyway since it’s pretty late. See ya tomorrow!

Enjoy your Sonic meals?

Good morning, Mooch...love the dogs of war!

Hope spring has arrived for you, and your arm is all better now.

We are still having fits of snow...it snows and melts all in the same day.

Nope, sure don’t need frozen pipes. But the heaters are on and as long as no spiders short one out, it’s all good.

It looks like the temp crept up to 39 and that’s great. Cold but not freezing. Now if it will just stay there.

Poor Peaches. Momma left him out in the cold and the other kitties have all the warm spots claimed. LOL He’ll snuggle up to you to warm up and keep you awake once you let him in. LOL!

Well, the days are getting longer so I'm letting Gizmo stay out at much as he wants. Nice weather coming but we really do need the rain.

We did have Wichita Ridge to ourselves yesterday. Here are all the pics.

Also, yesterday I ran the weed trimmer for the very first time. It did take some figuring out how to replace the trimmer head and put in a new line because the one that was currently in there was jammed up and had to be taken out.

It's a RYOBI weed trimmer which is battery powered. After putting the trimmer head back on it I put a new line through the holes and using the speed winder wound it back up. Did the work yesterday and the yard looks good. We're in the upper 30's this morning so I don't think the grass will grow too much the next few days.

Yeah, that dip was within 15 minutes time. But it hasn’t gone any lower and that’s a good thing.
Maybe we’ll get lucky again and not dip into the 20s tomorrow night .... er, tonight since it’s Thursday now.

Great that you two had the place to yourselves. Keeps Gizmo out of trouble. :-)

Sure do wish we could have shared some of our rain with you this past weekend. We got WAY too much here. At least we have a nice long dry stretch ahead so we can dry out. It’s getting close to planting time and the fields are too mucky to be prepped.

I guess the cold temps will let you enjoy your trimmed yard for a few days. Once the warmth comes back, it’ll be shaggy again in no time.

Getting a little colder here. Hope the rest of Passover is winter “lite.”
