everyone gets emissions tested and the mileage numbers for the year are determined, pay the bill or no sticker

Too bad you live in a fascist state that operates in that fashion. I don't. No annual testing or "stickers". I haven't had to deal with anything like that since leaving San Diego in 2000. The damn smog tests on my 1974 Porsche 914 cost me more than I paid for the car.

My 1999 Ford F150 pulled into my driveway in Sept 2014 with about 63,000 miles on the odometer. I recently turned over 64,000 miles. Filling the tank twice a year isn't a huge financial burden. The 2015 F150 SuperCrew just turned over 64,000 miles as well. My wife has a 1.5 mile commute to work 4 days a week. We make a 100 mile round trip each week to Idaho Falls.

Do you think they will require a GPS tracker on my Yamaha SR400? Harley Fat Bob? Or another of the other bikes in the garage? When I had to commute to work in San Diego, the bikes sucked up 1300 miles each month with 46 to 53 MPG and easy parking. No smog tests on bikes.

And insurance rates are going to skyrocket as he’ll have it mandated that all male drivers must rear end each other at every opportunity.

If you own a car newer than about 2010, they can already track you everywhere you go. It’s for our own good, you know./s

Depends on how they want to track people/mileage. The enviros are now all in on EVs. EVs dodge the gas tax. I have no objection to closing that loophole. If it can be done without tracking movements, tax mileage and eliminate the gas tax.

Why don’t they stop playing games and just take everyone’s money in one lump sum.

Texas alone as a country by itself would struggle without any federal funding. Other states would likely stop doing business with them as well and business would leave the state if they were boycotted too.

Basically a tax on rural people. We have to go further for everything. 25 miles one way to get to a decent sized grocery store or walmart for us. 55 miles to Lowe’s.

Unlikely it would ever pass the Senate or even the House.

The Constitution says that “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives.” It sounds like they think they can impose a new tax by executive order.

How on earth do you keep track of miles without being a pain in the petut. Oh I get it, he is favoring limousine liberals in urban setting who drive gas guzzling big cars at low mileage, while penalizing rural and small town americans who drive more miles with more economicaly effcient cars. Guess they are redistributing the wealth.

The end game is to ban the internal combustion engine auto. GM is on board. Buttboy’s admission is a warmup. The Green New Deal Tyranny is at hand.

Federal elections are pointless other than to condone tyranny.

You can stop at ‘Biden administration is considering taxing drivers’. That is the total story.
