Americans hate woke culture, as I noted in these pages not too long ago. Black, white, Republican and Democrat, a large majority of Americans oppose it. Even people like former President Barack Obama, Bill Maher and ultra-liberal comedienne Sarah Silverman hate it (Maher calls it “Stalinist”).
But it keeps going. Why is that? And what can you do about it — especially if you or someone you are close to comes under attack? In short, it keeps going because it’s easy and fun — and you have to make it less so.
Lesson one: Don’t panic — and don’t give in. Ian Prior, of Loudoun County, Va., publishes The Daily Malarkey, an Internet humor site that goes after what he calls the “Chardonnay Antifa.” As he recently recounted to Fox News, after he published an op-ed attacking political correctness, he found himself on the sharp end of woke attacks led by a group of teachers, administrators and woke citizens.
According to news reports, the Loudoun Stalinists put together a list of people opposing their policies and planned to “hack” them, “expose” them and “infiltrate” them. Did Prior chicken out?
No. He called them out, he mocked them, and he made sure the whole thing got as much attention as possible. Now there’s a criminal investigation into the group. The publicity not only generated blowback against the people who targeted him, it also brought in lots of new subscribers to The Daily Malarkey. Win-win.

Absolutely right.
But our companies we work for love woke culture and are making it a mandatory adherence. Not sure how long we can hold out.
Thanks, Glenn Reynolds.
Obozo was against illegal immigration and gay marriage too!
I don't think they love it that much...I think they are easily prone to blackmail when it comes to their bottom line...
Maher and Silverman hate it only because they believe it personally hurts them. Otherwise they are leading the charge.
Maher and Siverman only care about themselves, not whether its right or wrong. If it hits their freedoms or financial bottom line, then they are for or against something.
They do it because it works and most people are cowards who refuse to fight back when accused. That's got to stop, people have to stand up for themselves or it'll never stop, it's like dealing with a bully on the playground. We need to turn Alinsky's tactics around on them, ridicule them, don't cower. Do as Ted Cruz did today when that childish reporter tried to shame him for not wearing a mask. Don't apologize, tell them (politely or not) to get lost.
We'll never gain control of "wokeness" if we pee down our legs every time the left tries to shame us.
Personally, I’ll channel my inner Happy Fun Ball.
Start suing people for harassment.
“Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball.”
All the rage where I work. It’s scary.
Woke is hate with a hashtag face.
Treat this bogus insult/accusation like any other: tell the insulter/accuser to shut up and F off.
Ridicule:
Woke Supremacy!
Mostly Peaceful Riots!
Abort Covid!
Vax: My body, my choice!
Billionaires for Biden!
Permanent Stimulus! No work ever!
Super Straight!
Trans Black!
(Also tagline...)
The new kids coming up can’t stand this crap
My kids all call the women who try to tell him to put on a mask Karen’s
They think liberals are stupid
They think woke Ness is incredibly stupid
“Teachers, administrators and woke citizens” live in a fragile house of cards. A simple push makes the whole myth crumble. Global warming? Yeah, right. Gay marriage? Sick. Abortion? Murder is not cool. Biden? Demented. Covid 19? Seasonal flu. Masks? Useless...
.
Give them a new one to add to it: Don’t trust anyone over 30.
