New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) on Monday suggested that the state should consider slowing down the Big Apple’s reopening, placing him once again at odds with embattled New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D).

Earlier this March, Cuomo issued a directive allowing for New York City indoor dining capacity to be expanded to 50 percent. On Monday, the city’s gym classes were allowed to reopen at a 33 percent capacity.

Scum actively worked against any precautions in til March 13 last year.

It’s his fault as much as Cuomo’s that New York City and environs was the worst hit place on Earth and spread the epidemic thought the United States.

Just close the city and go out of business.

Let free adults make their own decisions, assume their own risks, and take their own chances.

The health care system is no longer in danger of being overwhelmed.

If only we were so lucky to have a duel. It would reduce the problem by half.

No, please reopen the asylum that is New York.

New Yorkers are fleeing the city and state in massive numbers and, incredibly, still voting for the Soro/Socialists who have caused their mass exodus.

One would have thought that NY would be well on the way to recovery by now, given that they were very severely hit early on and particularly in the densely populated areas the virus likely spread very fast and quickly. Then the closures and the masks “should have” slowed the spread.

Instead we’re seeing pretty close to the opposite. Upticks, well after one year from the first major impact on the people of the city/state.

Take a look at New York’s daily deaths. Scroll to the very bottom for the graph.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/new-york/

I don’t have NYC alone, that would probably illustrate it even better.

Throughout summer and fall covid death was pretty much gone from NY.

They did seem to hit a type of herd immunity.

But there is so much travel and movement and turnover of population through NYC so it’s coming back.

The herd doesn’t stay constant.

That’s my take.

How much slower can you go than none?

Any slower and they’d be going backwards.
