So, you believe in science, eh? Excellent, so do I. At the core of this science-thinking is the acceptance of the fact that there is reality. Thus, there are a finite number of things which are true and an infinite number of things which aren’t -- and our beliefs, opinions, and desires have no impact on this.
All “science-folks” accept these as rather self-evident truths -- yet many of these same people also profess to holding liberal views -- even though modern progressivism is premised on many things which simple aren’t true -- which contradict reality.
This isn’t a political or philosophical issue but rather a reality issue.
Let start with their insistence on classifying and grouping individuals -- the only real unit of humanity -- based on a handful of traits or behaviors and acting as though these groups -- their own creation -- are actually real in some physical sense.
Black, white, people of color, rich, poor, Hispanic, Latino, Latinx, conservative, liberal, Republican, Democrat, gay, straight, Trump-supporters, Trump-haters, left-handed, right-handed -- these groupings of individuals are almost endless.
They then “give” these imaginary groups motives, emotions, beliefs, action, and life. If the creators “like” the group, these all will be framed in a positive light. If the groups are “bad,” they will be framed in a negative light.
In effect they act as little gods who have the ability to shape reality. Where they obtained this power is never revealed.
At is core though, the basis for all these groups is rooted in circular logic where the only consistent fact for every member is that they are part of this group. Blacks are black because they are black. Whites are white because they are white. And on and on it goes.

Actually the quesion is “Can Science Survice Liberalism ?”.
Right now the answer is no !
Nothing can survive what is now called liberalism, which btw would not have been called liberalism by those that founded this country.

“Science” — particularly medical science and meteorology — has devolved into “political science” where opinion carries far more weight than do data, facts and the scientific method.

He exhibits poor logic, philosophy, theology, and science. Science is the art of discovering truth. Man’ s entire existence has been propelled by discovering new truth.
In an infinite world there will be infinite truth. There is not a limited number of things that are true.
You chastise his logic and then state that you live in an infinite world?
Maybe you should start with an understanding of what “infinite” actually means. Neither the world nor the universe are infinite.
To that end, the left will use, abuse, and simply lie about "science" the same way they use so many other tools - charges of racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, greed, etc. Or they'll grab an issue and run with it, environment, global warming / climate change, whatever issue du-jour is. How about all those statues of Civil War era leaders? Whatever happened to them? Are they all gone now? Streets renamed, schools renamed, mascots thoroughly whitewashed... Oops, maybe that phrase is racist today, or will be tomorrow...
All those artificial divisions and partitioning of people into demographic groups is done for the sole purpose of playing one off against the other. All the drop-dead must-solve issues, so quickly launched into the spotlight and just as quickly forgotten... They all share one common trait, one purpose. The left uses them to hold peoples' attention. These things are the shinny object in the magician's hand, while the real trick is taking place somewhere else.
The left wants power and control. They can either take that power and control by force, or they will find some way to trick people into simply giving them the power and control they so desire. To accomplish the second path to power, they must control your attention, control the message, control the entire dialog. Ten years ago, did anyone really care about statues? Did anyone worry about how many genders there are? Do you think it is because we're so much more evolved now? That there's nothing else we as human being should be working on? No, of course not. These kinds of things are pure distraction. Utterly meaningless in the greater scheme of things. Yet they each are being used in attempts to control us.
I realize that the desire to be a part of the "In-crowd" is stronger than I ever thought before. That's what so many want: to be hip, to be cool, to be a part of the "In-crowd".

"Progressivism" (or "liberalism", the left, the "woke" generation, whatever you call it), which is itself a consequence of the decadence of Western Civilisation, has only contempt for Truth.
In fact, contempt for Truth is the evil most fundamental to the decadence.
"Progressivism" and Truth are incompatible and mutually exclusive. So are "progressivism" and science.

So true. It may indeed take some time. The Romans were great scientists and engineers. We are just now rediscovering some of their secrets to making structural concrete.
The world lost “science” to the irrational masses when the Roman empire collapsed. There followed a thousand years of Dark ages, when no one could ever repair the roads the Romans built, must less build stone houses with steam heat in Britain.
Yes, science will prevail, even if it takes a thousand years. We just won’t be here when it does. ;-)
He is correct about the first point being fundamental to science - science simply doesn't work if the practitioner is mired in "there is no reality" or "reality is whatever we agree on" or "reality is a social construct". In fact, however, what we are dealing with is "reality is whatever I say it is", which is quite a different proposition. That does avoid the solipsistic nonsense of the others but gets a bit messy when the speaker insists that cardboard has the tensile strength of steel because he or she says so and automobiles begin tumbling off bridges as a consequence. The cold water you end up swimming in is reality and you can't wish it away.
However, absent the current political passions for authoritarianism none of the rest is particularly harmful except to the believer. It cannot be a legitimate function of state to protect citizens from reality because it isn't even possible, and to attempt it leads to violence and totalitarianism in the name of safety.
Until we stop speaking with liberals as if these groups do exist, we will continue to lose.
