Cancel culture just proved itself more powerful than the devil in Prada herself, Anna Wintour. Years-old tweets you made as a foolish, ignorant teen, and later profusely apologized for, mean you can’t be trusted as editor of . . . Teen Vogue.
Alexi McCammond, deemed in 2019 the emerging journalist of the year by the National Association of Black Journalists and supported by Wintour and the rest of top Condé Nast management for the Teen Vogue job, won’t be starting next week as editor-in-chief of the fashion and lifestyle magazine after a staff rebellion over offensive remarks posted in 2011.
She was a freshman in college then. And when they surfaced two years back, she apologized and deleted the tweets. She apologized again this month after a couple dozen Teen Vogue staffers erupted when she was named their new boss.

We all realize this cancel culture is very dangerous and this article puts it into a great perspective.
Why do Christians put such high value in God’s forgiveness, because it is how we move forward in life and spirit. The ability to forgive isn’t just for the person receiving it, it is often just as valuable for the person giving it.
Forgiveness recognizes that people can grow, can change, can have amazing grace regarding difficult times. We’ve seen people come to terms with very difficult things by offering forgiveness. The mother who forgives the murderer of her child, finds peace instead of being stuck in victimhood, hate, revenge.

I wonder whether the Very Online will start to observe a pattern regarding saying stuff on Twitter, followed by having stuff you said on Twitter bite you in the tuchus ... and decide to get off Twitter.
It’s a new gospel, minus love, grace, mercy or forgiveness.
Social Media is very much a wholly owned branch of Hotel California,
You can check in any time you like, but you can never leave.
Unfortunately true on many levels.
Those tweets were despicable.
FWIW, I’m not inclined toward any of those without repentance.
FWIW, it wasn’t just the bigotry.
Read the tweets.
That young woman is a mess.
We all have things we said and did when we were young and naive that we regret later in life when we finally matured and "grew up".
The sins of our youth can't be held against everyone in life forever or there would be no one to run the society.
Heck, half the voters think there IS no sin!
Bannon went on to point out Harris’ unusual involvement in presidential duties, “Kamala Harris is printed up in playbooks, always there for these meetings,” he said, adding, “Pence was never that. That’s not the role of the vice president.”
Bannon isn’t the first popular conservative commentator to point out that Biden is failing fast and that a President Harris might soon be on the horizon.
Dan Bongino has called Joe Biden’s dementia the “worst kept secret” in Washington DC and claims that everyone knows it. Of course everyone knows it. It’s impossible not to see.
. . . and political advantage is the new salvation.
