In the first independent, non-governmental legal examination of China’s human rights offenses against the Uyghur population, the think tank Newlines Institute for Strategy and Policy found that the Chinese government is responsible for “committing genocide against the Uyghurs in breach of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.”
The 1948 Genocide Convention “is an instrument of international law that codified for the first time the crime of genocide,” according to the United Nations’ website. The convention was the “first human rights treaty” that the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted. Its purpose was to ensure that the human rights horrors of World War II were never repeated.
The report explains the ways in which the Chinese government is in violation of committing genocide against the Uyghur people. As outlined by Article II of the Genocide Convention, the act of genocide includes the requirement of “intent to destroy” a group. This intent does not necessarily need to come from direct acknowledgements. The report continues, “Intent can be inferred from a collection of objective facts that are attributable to the State, including official statements, a general plan, State policy and law, a pattern of conduct, and repeated destructive acts, which have a logical sequence and result — destruction of the group as such, in whole or in substantial part.”
The group found that there is evidence of “High-level statements of intent and general plan” from President Xi Jinping’s declaration of the “People’s War on Terror” focusing on a majority of Uyghur-populated regions, with top authorities then making commands to “round up everyone who should be rounded up,” and “wipe them out completely…destroy them root and branch.”

They refused to film in GA based on their”pro life” policies, yet went to China to film Mulan despite their human rights atrocities. So, do they value “life” or not? They have become a company who seek the approval of the left to FAR left. As a conservative, I find myself and my family less and less represented by Disney, Hollywood and the music industry. With the recent pandemic and the ability to live stream what we want and when, I have so many other options for entertainment
Even going to Disneyland or Disneyworld are easily replaced by Dollywood or taking vacations into our beautiful National Parks and enjoy simpler endeavors.

Just got through watching Frontline’s report, “China Undercover” on this subject.
I don’t like the Moslem “religion” and know it’s false. But these people apparently are living under a surveillance nightmare in China. Cameras everywhere, outside of each home, every street; people have to swipe an ID card with all their info to enter a shopping area. If the AI camera software thinks you are exhibiting suspicious behavior, security will come pick you up. You might end up in a detention camp for months for “re-education.”
This technology seems to be being perfected in China and spreading to other countries. Better buy that little plot of land in rural America and escape the big cities while you can.

Why are freepers so quick at condemning the Chinese for protecting their culture from Muslimss, yet they want this country to do the same.
I find this utterly hypocritical on our part. All of a sudden the Muslims are the good guys??
I think that’s a fair question.
I don’t know much about the situation the Chinese government
vs the Uyghur populace. I do know how China has treated other
regions. Those treatments were not good.
Take a good look at Tibet. Take a good look at what is going
on in Hong Kong.
President Trump’s administration took China to task. Biden’s
administration is reluctant to do so.

The Muslims (The Uighur race ) have been living in the province of Xin Jiang for nearly a thousand years.
The question to you is this- does putting millions of Uighurs in re-education camps and killing those who try to escape or resist, constitute “protecting their culture”?
Isn’t that like putting native Americans who live in Indian territory in re-education camps to protect our culture?
And why are ALL Muslims bad guys? Just because a minority of them are terrorists does not make every Muslim a terrorist.
