The beauty and personal-care company Unilever said on Tuesday that it would no longer use the word “normal” on its products and in its advertising, following a study that revealed it makes most people feel excluded. Unilever, a London-based company that owns Dove, Axe, Sunsilk and Vaseline, among other personal-care brands, also said it would not digitally alter the body shape, size and skin color of models in its advertising as part of its Positive Beauty initiative, according to a news release. And the company promised to increase the number of ads featuring underrepresented people, without specifying which groups.

Dove looking for abi’normal’ profits😉
“following a study that revealed it makes most people feel excluded”
Must have been an interesting focus group.
The changes were long overdue and “completely necessary” after last year’s worldwide Black Lives Matter demonstrations, said Ateh Jewel, a beauty journalist and an advisory board member of the British Beauty Council, an organization that represents the British beauty industry.
“Saying the word ‘normal’ has been used to set you apart,” Ms. Jewel said. “I am normal. My dark skin is normal. My juicy West African curvy body is normal. Everything about me is normal.”
(double facepalm)...
Good Lord. Virtue-Signalling has become a secondary industry in, and of itself, hasn’t it? Gotta get all those dividends in ‘wokeness’ lest we run the risk of being ‘cancelled’.
Simply add “AB”. Sheesh. Ain’t that difficult. 😄🚿🛀
“Saying the word ‘normal’ has been used to set you apart,” Ms. Jewel said. “I am normal. My dark skin is normal. My juicy West African curvy body is normal. Everything about me is normal.”
...Including the second, lower set of teeth you have, Ms. Jewel? Jeez, SOMEONE is over-compensating. Whenever a man starts talking in such hyperbolic terms, he’s generally (and deservedly) mocked. With a woman, that kind of mockery is now taboo. Especially if she is a womyn of color.
Is that how joke went in Young Frankensteen?
Companies are going woke because they are going broke... McDonald’s, Coke, Nike are all leaders in their respective dwindling industries with no bright future prospects. They need to bring attention to wokeness because their marketing and product roll outs have not been successful and wokeness take attention away.
LOL! See post 10. 😲😄
Dry, normal, oily.
What if you replace “normal” with “average?” Who wants to be average?
Oh, and here’s an artist’s rendition of the attack:
Well Dove, I am normal so I guess I am done with your products.
One of the old time greats...
Learned recently that Frau Blucher was Miss Glue which explains why the horses neighed when her name was mentioned😂😂😂
A GOOD move by Dove. They want to increase their customer base or should I say, not offend “some” potential customers, who KNOW that they are ANYTHING BUT “NORMAL”.
This is the “NUMBER ONE” goal of the deviates and perverts, to be seen as “NORMAL”.
THEY ARE WINNING!
No doubt..
Feeling excluded by a soap ad may in and of itself indicate an abnormality.
Will they now make soap in a broad range of skin colors so one can identify with the soap that most closely resembles their own skin??
You could follow err-ick swallowells lead and sue for mental anguish. It ain’t like P&G ain’t got the money.
They will become more broke the more they go woke.
Unilever was one of the first on my decades years old ban list.
