China will increase its military budget to 1.35 trillion yuan (about $207.8 billion) in 2021, which is 6.8 percent higher than 2020, Chinese state-run media reported on Mar. 6. One expert told The Epoch Times that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s top priority is to strengthen its military.
China’s generals aren’t very bright - they certainly ignore Sun Tzu’s advice regarding ‘recklessness, which leads to destruction’, ‘a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults’ and ‘a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame’.
Remember
An enemy is just a friend you don’t like
They will go for taiwan.
Like most socialist libs, they cant wait to unleash the inner stalin/mao
They probably cant hope for a better time with the dementia joe china puppet in “full effect”...
China knows that we have no President.
All I need is 6 months and I’m out of here and so is my money - so hopefully China will wait that long! Then China can do what they want with this country. Like it or not, they OUTSMARTED us. They knew they could get the Dems to love them because they’re Communists, and they knew they could get the Republicans to love them because they offered cheap labor and cheap goods (the Dems bought into that also, but I suspect that surprised China).
Very sad to see this country die-out this way, but like the Soviets, they knew the key weakness in our system was that there are millions of America-haters right here in the US, and once we stopped prosecuting those people, they had us, it was just a matter of time.
“Here’s an idea: Let Taiwan defend themselves and see how much damage they can inflict.”
That’s crazy talk.

“We had a Good Run.”
Yep, just short of 250 years, although only 75 of them on top.
I don’t want to go public quite yet (heck, I haven’t even told my own family), but I do have a list of about 20 people (you’ve been added), and I’m planning to start a thread later this year about where we can go, where I’ll also include my destination (and take questions on it!). Obviously I’ll ping the list once I start the thread.
Australia and New Zealand better shake off their complacency. They will be invited to the party whether they like it or not.
“I always thought they’d go on a “charm offensive” and maneuver Taiwan diplomatically to the point where they freely and popularly would want to rejoin with the manland.”
Yea, as mentioned earlier, that did nearly work, but it ended with Hong Kong. But now they’re just working on weakening Taiwan’s capability to fight (they got Taiwan to legalize gay marriage in 2019, for example)...but in the end, they know they have to use force.
“Guess who the neighbors think will be there for them?”
Their own nuclear missiles if they have any sense.
Been expecting them to get nukes for a while now. Guess they held off on getting them when Trump came in.
I’m headed to the
Deserets of Arizona,
Eating Locusts
and Wild Honey!
Make sure you raise your mask first...😷
I agree with the concerns, but have to say that any military anywhere that is not preparing for war is not doing its job.
Of course, however, “woke” Biden military leaders think they are fighting a progressive/leftist/socialist transformation war and that is their priority.
Because you know, “insurrection” and climate change are the true existentialist threats in their pervert world view.
50 years of Sino-Soviet border wars would seem to put the lie to that.
Let’s not forget that they pushed us back to a stalemate in Korea, too.
Taiwan will fall within two weeks. Spring is my bet—Double action. They may wait till the Olympics but it they are banned. China will act and act swiftly. Trojan Horse Operation with an electronic blitz that will cut them off from the world. Blackout that may hit USA too. Then a take over of airfields —destroy Anti-aircraft and fly in the troops. Little of no fighting. “Peace” will come swiftly before anyone can act. Many Chinese will come to the USA and Canada.
I know. I coughed up a loogey a couple of weeks ago while wearing a mask. The mask caught it. That was pretty gross. Crude but effective.
“50 years of Sino-Soviet border wars “
No such thing. Just intermittent clashes.
In Korea, the Norks were far more capable than the Chinese. All the Chinese had was the human wave. They didn’t even have a rifle for every man.
Then they had 8 months of Viet Nam handing them their ass.
No naval experience. No air war experience. No combined arms or maneuver warfare.
And never conducted an amphibious assault against a dug in defender. And that’s the most dangerous, complex warfare there is.
So, I reiterate my contention: They have no institutional knowledge upon which to pull, and zero experience in modern warfare (WWII technology onward).
