Gov. Andrew Cuomo had someone else take his mandatory workplace sex harassment training course for him — then signed off on it as if he’d taken it himself, accuser Charlotte Bennett says in a bombshell new interview aired Friday night.
“In 2019, he did not take the sexual harassment training,” the 25-year-old alleges in the interview on “CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell.”

“I heard Stephanie, say, ‘I can’t believe I’m doing this for you,'” Bennett recalls –referring to office director Stephanie Benton. “I’m making a joke about the fact that she was completing the training for him,” Bennett recalls.

Harassment training is pretty much at the level of “Don’t call the gay guy Queer” and “Don’t tell someone that she’ll get the promotion if she sleeps with you” and stuff like that.
No one really needs to be told this stuff. You’re either a jerk, or you’re not. Cuomo is a jerk. The training would not have helped him.
The more general topic is the Ethics of falsifying training records on any topic at all. That’s separate from Sexual Harassment. Yes, he has that problem, but if he’d convinced someone to take his “Expense Reporting” training for him, it would still be a grievous ethical problem. He happened to get someone to take his Harassment class for him. That’s falsification of records. Should be a big deal no matter what the class was.
This is getting comical.

One quality of leadership is DELEGATION of tasks. I think Governor Cuomo did a wonderful job of such, at least in regard to this training, as he no doubt had higher priority things to attend to.

When I was still working, I had to take the sexual harassment training four times - twice each for my employer and my union. Total BS of course, but even more so because I worked from home 100%. I said, the only woman I can conceivably harass is my wife, and she’d probably appreciate it!
