Sen. Elizabeth Warren's extreme plan to tax the rich will be destructive for the United States, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told FOX Business’ “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” Tuesday.
“A wealth tax will destroy our country,” Paul said flatly. “It’s not good for our country.”
Paul added that the “American way” is to reward entrepreneurs who build successful businesses and provide for their fellow Americans, instead of confiscating a chunk of their profit.
“This class warfare, punitive stuff that some of these Democrats want – it’s un-American, it’s bad for business and it’s bad for everybody,” he said. “Because capitalism uplifts all.”
The senator noted that the U.S. has the lowest amount of poverty internationally due to “capitalism, trade and division of labor.”
Other nations that have attempted a wealth tax have tried and failed, Paul said, including Sweden whose wealthy fled the nation only to be invited back once the tax was revoked.
“The class warfare people need to get a grip on what happens,” he said. “When they take over, we become Venezuela and I don’t want that for our country either.”

Elizabeth Warren always thought she was too good for where in OK she came from and is dazzled by the international illuminati she holds position with in Cambridge, MA and will do or say anything they require of her so she can remain in that group - or climb higher up the chain. She only cares about her status, nothing else.
In that way, Warren is similar to Hilrey

I mean after all he's been clamoring for years to raise his taxes and that his secretary pays higher income tax than he does so that should make him happy.
In fact lets just tax 99% of his wealth. He's worth about 85 billion or so but no one needs that much money. He wants high taxes so lets tax his wealth. leave him with 10 million. I mean can't we all agree than absolutely no one needs more than 10 million dollars? Everything else should be taxed away by the government. Leftist billionaires all over the US have been complaining that taxes on the rich are not high enough. No one should ever be allowed to have a billion dollars as no one needs that much money. Let's have a wealth cap of 10 million. Everything else goes to the government.

Take away the CAPITAL and CAPITALism collapses.

What if the threat of heavy taxation is just a ploy to encourage campaign contributions to make it go away. Like a shake down. I say let them pass the tax

The simple explanation is that all the super wealthy operate in IRS 1041 territory (trusts) and not in 1040 territory like the people who will be most affected. In other words, the money of the super wealthy is shielded in complex trust arrangements which reduce income taxes to about 3% or less. The charitable trust money is non-taxable but is still under the control of the trustee(s) who presumably share the same worldview.
SO what we have is the super wealthy protecting themselves by taxing and impoverishing everyone else, while their wealth multiplies. Also, destroying the family, canceling the 2A and promoting immorality is part of their program. They get to pay for private armed security, they control the people who have authority on the military, and they don’t want to be challenged.
Warren knows all of this, and she knows it won’t work. We’ll end up with a broad-based asset tax, like the French have, without the consolation of living in a historic country with a long history, beautiful architecture, decent food, wine and culture. The super wealthy might pay a little, but it won’t take the wind out of their sails, that’s for sure.
So do federal inheritance and gift taxes, neither of which there is any enumerated power for.
