"The Capitol Insurrection," "the Siege," "the armed insurrection in Washington, D.C." It's also been described as a "military-style formation" of "anti-government right-wing fringe organizations," "the storming of the Capitol," "the Capitol riot," "armed" protests, and even "a medieval battle."
And now it's been called "the Capitol bombing." A bombing! By no less an authority than the next attorney general, Merrick Garland.
This is getting ridiculous.
It was bad enough when someone decided to call it the "Capitol Insurrection." It was not a good choice. I don't know who it was – maybe Nancy Pelosi. But it was not appropriate to call it an "Insurrection." It never rose to the meaning of that word, which conjures up dire synonyms like "Insurgence," "Revolt" and "Rebellion."
Do any of those words sound like a conflict that took just one life – a woman who was gunned down by an as-yet-unnamed Capitol policeman? I hardly think so. Do any of those synonyms suggest a conflict that lasted only a few hours? No.

It really should be called “The Nancy Pelosi Psyop-Insurrection.”

The disruption did manage to derail the attempted challenges to the vote tally in several of the states involved, which was the whole objective. That it could possibly be blamed on the MAGA movement and Donald Trump was just icing on the cake.
The Never-Trumpers were feeling VERY threatened.
The term Capitol Insurrection works just fine for me. I have no problem with that description. As it applies to Democrats overthrowing a legitimate election, removing a duly elected president by illegal means, and bringing in 25,000 troops to support their coup d’état.
If that is not what a Capitol Insurrection is, it’ll do till something else comes along.

It always amazes me how our side gloms onto the language and talking points of the left. For example, we use the word immigrant to describe illegal alien.
It’s just garden-variety looting, rioting, mayhem, and murder when it happens in Seattle, Louisville, Portland, or Kenosha.
But when it get’s to the Capitol? It’s insurrection! Sedition! Treason!
We have about 700 oligarchs dictating to the rest of the country. Bow to your overlords!
The cutting off of the debate at JUST THE RIGHT TIME is what should look suspicious to everyone.
The only person who could have orchestrated the cutting off of the debate was Nancy Pelosi.
Trump could not have controlled the timing.
When that one Republican Senator objected THAT was supposed to begin the debate.
The debate would have caused all the truth of the fraud to be exposed on live TV.
Pelosi could not let that happen.
The Trump “insurrection/impeachment” crap is Russia-gate all over again.
Trump could not have caused the so-called insurrection to happen because too many things were out of his control.
Nancy is the hinge.

since the first day, i’ve been fighting posts here claiming “riot, storming, mob, insurrection, etc.” wasn’t by definition a riot, storming or any of those other terms.
it was a pre-planned, organized leftist attack and *attempted* drawing in and incitement of innocent Trump supporters by various agent provocateur groups under cover of the protest. it was that from the get go, probably supported through, possibly willful, ill preparation, inaction (including outright homicide of Ashli Babbit) by elements of the dc police, fbi, up to pelosi and mcconnell themselves.
that is what it was, and the timeline of events proves that. and i wish sometime people even on this site weren’t so gullible.
