President Joe Biden is big on equality and has spent much of his life fighting and campaigning for it.
Indeed, in his inauguration speech on January 20, he reminded us that the American dream is predicated on the belief 'that we are all created equal'.
But he did so with this sobering caveat: 'Our history has been a constant struggle between the American ideal, that we are all created equal, and the harsh, ugly reality that racism, nativism, and fear have torn us apart. The battle is perennial and victory is never secure. Through civil war, the Great Depression, world war, 9/11, through struggle, sacrifice, and setback, our better angels have always prevailed. In each of our moments enough of us have come together to carry all of us forward, and we can do that now.'

Sorry, but I stopped listening at the mention of PIERS MORGAN.
From what I read, Gropin' Joe owns five mansions. And yet, no one knows how he can afford them.
10% for the big guy?
Womens rights, no one screaming? Madonna? judd? behar? woopie? Seems like male politicians perversity toward this mental illness wins the day!
Unles we are dealing with both trans men and women, i dont care.
We have to deal with it whoever is pretending to be something they are not. Its bad for both genders, because it places the opposite sex in places they should not be. Its not good for men, and its not good for women.
Its mental illness, its perversion and its wrong and not good for normal men and women to have pretenders invading their private spaces and being expected to participate in the insanity.
They want equality, they’re gonna get it.
The fruits of women voting is here.
I realize this will fly over the heads of most Republican leaders today, but here it goes anyway:
Let’s say that Republicans decided to DEFUND women’s sports (since no one watches them anyway, and all they do is tie up the gym for more important things, like men’s Intramural Basketball).
What would the Democrats call it? They would call it it the Republican WAR ON WOMEN.
So, why the hell cannot the Republicans call this effective-elimination of women’s sports the Democrat WAR ON WOMEN?
Why2 is it so damn hard for our side to play by their (dirty) rules? (although in this case, it is really a war on women)
You are so correct. Spread it.
The destruction of women’s sports is absolutely NECESSARY if “equality” is the goal.
Having men and women compete separately in sports is a blatant violation of the basic idea that men and women are “equal.”
If this means we never see another female competing in sports in any kind of public setting, then so be it.
Men and women are either “equal,” or they are not. Women can’t have it both ways, and only demand equal treatment under THEIR terms.
As Dr. Jordan Peterson once said ... Feminists destroy their credibility when they complain about women being underrepresented in corporate leadership positions but never complain about them being underrepresented in crappy jobs.
Like abortion...Right to life....tops "freedom to kill".
As my favorite freshman congresslady (Ms Taylor-Green) put on the hall outside her office: There’s two Gender Male and Female. Trust the Science...
I don’t understand what the ‘cause’ is.
I identify as a 25 year old 6’5” 260 Lbs TE with soft hands. Alas, I’m 5’6” 165 LB 67 year old who couldn’t catch a cold.
All men are created equal in the context of having unalienable rights. It says nothing about people being created with equal talents, interests, capabilities or life outcomes. Equality taken out of context morphs into economic equality, which is nonsense. Not all individuals are capable of the same economic outcome, but nonetheless should be free to achieve what ever level they can.
That is a good way to put it. It was actually Rush Limbaugh who helped me understand the basis of a fundamental human right. If the exercising of a fundamental right obligates someone else to do something or be something, it can not be a fundamental right.
There is a fundamental right to free speech because it does not obligate anyone to listen.
There is NO fundamental right to housing or health care because somebody would be obligated to provide it. Society might agree to provide it but it is not a fundamental right.
Today, Monty Python would be excoriated for this skit.

REG: Furthermore, it is the birthright of every man—
STAN: Or woman.
REG: Why don’t you shut up about women, Stan. You’re putting us off.
STAN: Women have a perfect right to play a part in our movement, Reg.
FRANCIS: Why are you always on about women, Stan?
STAN: I want to be one.
REG: What?
STAN: I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me ‘Loretta’.
REG: What?!
LORETTA: It’s my right as a man.
JUDITH: Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
LORETTA: I want to have babies.
REG: You want to have babies?!
LORETTA: It’s every man’s right to have babies if he wants them.
REG: But... you can’t have babies.
LORETTA: Don’t you oppress me.
REG: I’m not oppressing you, Stan. You haven’t got a womb! Where’s the foetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!
LORETTA: crying
