The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) are welcoming their inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts on Sunday, the first since the organization began accepting girls in 2019.
Approximately 1,000 girls were slated to be a part of the first class, according to The Associated Press. Attaining the rank of Eagle Scout requires at least 21 merit badges, and Isabella Tunney, who is one of the new female Eagle Scouts, earned each of the 137 badges possible.

Girl Scout leadership was proud to be 1/3 lesbian at the national level years ago. They shot themselves in the foot by saying stay at home moms are bad role models, so we only want working moms as leaders. The women who had fewer kids and less time, so they weren’t going to go camping or do the hard stuff.

Before you talk about fixing the organizations I suggest figuring out how they are supposed to work.The scouting program is in trouble because kids are being encouraged by their parents to sit inside and play computer games. The Covid inspired quarantining is not helping.
To think the scouting program is going to be destroyed because of girls joining is just wrong. My guess is you have little, if any understanding of how either program actually work. Not trying to be mean about it, however when I see statements similar to the one you wrote and the one that inspired my initial response, I can tell you do not understand scouting. nor do you understand the development of youth leaders.
You say the scouting needs fixed, please tell me one specific suggestion and how that would make a difference in the program.
You say that scouting isn’t supposed to be a competition. Where do you get that idea. Everything in life is a competition. Always has been. Right up until participation trophies were invented.
If the boys cant keep up with the girls when they are out in the woods competing, how are they going to keep up in the job market. Trying to protect the boys from little girls is not going to help.

Yep. This is why I have zero sympathy for transgenders in their sports. Whats good for the gander is good for the goose! That being said, the BSA is beyond woke. Glad my son eagled and got out before the corruption set in! He still misses it, but its long gone now. Just waiting for rape allegations to start happening with girls in tents.

Let’s just focus on the basic issue. BOY Scouts is about boys. It isn’t about girls. A girl can’t be part of a boy’s club or else it isn’t a boy’s club.
I am not saying Boy Scouts needs to be fixed. I am saying people like you (and allowing gay scoutmasters) have destroyed it. I understand scouting. My boys were in it for awhile. They dropped out as they focused on their own varied specialized interests. The Boy Scouts organization is dead to our family. Hope you enjoy it. I just wish they would change the name to Kids Scouts. As it is now, it is false advertising.
As a side note, please don’t try to shame me about boys not being able to compete against “little” girls. At younger ages girls are larger than boys. That changes rapidly as they age. At that point, the girls want to be protected with their own separate sports leagues with separate scholarships. We have build a princess society that trains girls that you can have whatever you want whenever you want it and we will protect you from your poor decisions.

Second, it's clear from the comments that very few people posting on this matter actually know how Scouting works. In sum, all REAL power and control is vested at the local Troop level; National, sadly, lost its way and is a hot mess - it's a bit like the saga of the NRA HQ, where they lost sight of their core mission and, in large measure, deserve what they've wrought. But National doesn't call the shots at the Council and/or individual unit level.
Third, the Scouting program has a century of excellence in developing the character and leadership skills of young men. The combination of Merit Badges, skills attainment, outdoorsmanship, TRUE care for the environment, advancement, and testing and feedback has given America and the World some outstanding leaders. All of these "new" organizations, whatever their temporal merits, will be tested - the devil attacks goodness. Will these effective Canadians bolt again, whining about a modernity from which they retreat again to form another organization? Or will they, as countless Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and Troop Committeeman and women, repel the onslaught of leftists and stand true while National implodes?
Fourth, the admission of girls is NOT, as some clealy ill-informed people believe, a watering down of the program OR a comingling of the boys and girls, or some trans etc expansion. The boys and girls have separate Troops, separate meetings, and (generally) separate leaders. To be sure, some of these initiatives are driven by falling enrollment. At the same time, the Girl Scouts has lost its way at the national and (generally) local level, and girls craving leadership opportunities ain't gettin' it from the schools.
Now, I think it is a FAIR debate point, if a leadership program that has worked for boys for 100+ years will work for girls. But that does not negate the reality, that your average girl wanting to join Scouting BSA prolly doesn't want to hang with Antifa teens and cyber bully the "little people." As such, we should at least CONSIDER the potential upside of offering a program to girls that is steeped in tradition, patriotism, and the founding values of this nation.
Again, National lost its way, and is a disgrace...just like the GOP. But just like how Trump used the GOP's underpinning conservatism to galvanize tens of millions of individuals, Americans can do the same at the local level with Scouting. The Troops remain solid in large measure, run for the most part by conservative people. If anyone posting has gone through the effort to volunteer at their local Troop, work with the Scouts via Two-Deep Leadership, become an Assistant Scoutmaster, and join the Committee and STILL found rabid leftism, let them speak.

Sure - BSA is Boy Scouts of America. The program Scouts BSA is the one for fifth graders through 18yrs of age. It’s a little confusing since now girls can participate in Scouts BSA.
