TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says flags will fly at half-staff in honor of conservative talk radio pioneer Rush Limbaugh, who died Wednesday from terminal lung cancer.
DeSantis made the announcement during a press conference in West Palm Beach Friday morning. The governor says once funeral arrangements are made for Limbaugh, the state will lower the flags.
“I know they’re still figuring out the arrangements, but what we do when there’s things of this magnitude, once the date of interment for Rush is announced, we’re gonna be lowering the flags to half-staff,” the governor says.

Even those who don’t like Limbaugh have to admit that he was probably the best known Floridian around. Well, prior to Trump taking up legal residence here.
There is still no order from the White House to lower flags, no indication that Rush will lie in state at the nation’s Capitol and to state funeral.
Love it.
Leftists try to make us lower the flags for Leftist turds (which I refuse to do, or did...until I took my flag down) so turnabout is fair play.

Now let’s chip in for the police officers to guard each flag from anarchists and Communists. Flag burning is still a court protected “artistic act” or an example of “free speech.” Unless it’s a BLM or LGBTQ flag.

I AM GUESSING, but I suspect the funeral service will be Monday, beginning at noon Eastern time. It will be broadcast over the EIB network. Steyn said today there will be a special show on Monday and we won’t want to miss it.
Lowering the flag for civilians including radio personalities and celebrities or school children is flat out WRONG because it CHEAPENS the meaning of the gesture itself and is demeaning to the SIGNIFICANCE of the death of our great military heroes.
Rush was a pioneer. One of the greatest conservatives of our time but I don't think our flag should be lowered for celebrities, sorry.
