White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Tuesday that President Joe Biden has not ruled out using executive orders for gun control.
When asked if Biden still intended to use executive action on gun control – a vow made during his campaign – Psaki responded, “The president has a range of actions at his disposal … he hasn’t ruled out either of those options.”
Biden’s campaign website boasted about his record working with legislative and executive actions during the Obama administration, pointing to “two dozen actions” the administration took after Biden was tasked with heading gun control measures.
Biden’s campaign website also stated, “Biden will also use his executive authority to ban the importation of assault weapons,” in addition to working with Congress to “ban the manufacture and safe of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.”

If you're wanting an AK- pattern modern sporting rifle (semi-automatic AK-47, AK-74 or one of the variants made more for hunting or other sport), you should probably be buying it now.

For the time being, use something else for self-defense if needed.

"
...I believe the SCOTUS will punt on this as well. Will likely refuse to hear arguments and push it to the states."
The Supremes are *not* likely to punt on some of the uglier gun control legislation ahead. They'll probably decide against at least some of it. There are now five originalist justices who will defend the Second Amendment. That's why the Democrats have been threatening to stack the Supreme Court.
Just have a look at this from one of those justices, and he was appointed by George W. Bush.

"A dissenting opinion in United States v. Rybar, 103 F.3d 273 (3d Cir. 1996), arguing that a U.S. law banning private citizens from owning submachine guns was similar to one struck down by the Supreme Court in United States v. Lopez and thus outside the authority of Congress under the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution."

Biden *might* get away with stopping some imports, but we can't even be sure about that.

What we might see coming out of this will be some class-based gun control, and many people without any class (mostly Democrats: dope smokers and the like) will be further barred from having firearms and watched more closely.
A modest proposal:
Because of the way Democrats want to play, Republican lobbyists and legislators should push for allowing some gun control for urban residents while stopping attempts to control rural and small town residents...and maybe some suburban residents in more conservative, law-abiding neighborhoods.
See how they like them apples. ;)
The new laws could be repealed or otherwise reversed, when Republicans take the White House and houses of Congress again in an election.

I don’t think you can do that.

The courts may have been temporarily taken from them as a way to circumvent the legislative process. But they’re making frightening inroads into the executive framework of the bluer States. Selective prosecutions seem to be the new tool. It may be time to advance jury nullification in some of the high-profile anti-gun cases. Bankrupting folks through the process is still an issue.

Leave it to this senile old butt puppet to think he’s going to nullify part or all of the 2A at the behest of his puppetmasters. It’ll spend decades languishing in the courts before any decision yea or nay is ruled on it. By then, I’d imagine that this whole ‘unity’ sham will have shaken itself out gretty good acress the country.

Why doesn’t he just dissolve Congress and keep the wall and national guard there in case there’s a civil war.

Let them try it.
Most Americans will be very hesitant to shoot American solders/cops. So participation in any resistance involving actually shooting someone would be relatively low.
In contrast, most gun owners would be down right frothing at the mouth for the opportunity to shoot a forging solder on American soil trying to confiscate guns.
It would push most of the country over the edge into full on armed rebellion.

In the last few years SCOTUS has made three (that I know of) major rulings in support of the 2nd Amendment. The most recent of those three was in 2016. Today some will claim that there are six “conservatives” on the court. However, just as was the case with Osama Obama's EO on wetbacks any EO on guns that Plugs issues will,at least, temporarily infringe on the rights of law abiding citizens.
