The Daily Show host Trevor Noah took a break from mocking conservatives to launch a rare offensive against a fellow left winger — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), who is facing a widening scandal over allegations that his administration covered up the extent of coronavirus deaths in nursing homes in order to avoid a federal investigation under the Trump administration.

If Trump were responsible for this, they’d probably try to impeach him again.
Nevertheless, this is an encouraging development. Some deranged anti-Trumpers (is there any other kind?) view manslaughter as a bad thing.

So, who gave the order that it’s okay to negatively comment on Cuomo? It’s odd that a growing number of democrats are even uttering these comments. Normally they are very tight lipped on these things. Something is different this time. I wonder if Team Obama isn’t trying to take him out. May be Hillary, maybe someone unknown. Whatever the case, it’s not natural.
There are young liberal types especially, who get their news from inane “comedy” shows such as this.
Cuomo is despised by anyone who knows him, he's a megalomaniac, a bloviator, an obnoxious creep, nobody around him has every said they lie him. I suspect the guy is so bad everyone hates him.
But he sure did a good job of bashing President Trump on Corona, so he was worth tolerating at any cost.

There's a certain "aroma" around this attack that is strangely familiar.
Even after this brutal beat down, Noah would still support Cuomo if he ran for President.
Sitting in the hotel cause of stupid Guard stuff, I’ve seen a couple of his ‘on later tonight’ commercials. Maybe one of them had a half-decent joke. The rest ranged from plain stupid to offensively stupid.
The governor, meanwhile, did express that he holds himself "responsible" for all the thousands of lives that have been lost in his state due to coronavirus:

"This is traumatic. This is PTSD for an entire generation that will talk about this, and it is personal. So I tried to communicate how I feel, personally, and my fear and my anxiety, as part of this, to say to you, 'You are not alone. Everyone is feeling this. I am feeling it too,'" he candidly told Noah.
"I have to deal with the number of deaths in the state. 15,000 people, Trevor. 9/11, 2,700 people," he explained. "That was supposed to be the worst experience of my life, I believe. 2,700 people, this is 15,000 people, 474 people yesterday. That weighs heavily on me."
"I can sit here and say to you, 'I believe that we did everything that could possibly be done.' I don't believe we lost anyone because we didn't have a bed and we didn't have doctors and nurses. We did that," he continued. "But we still lost 15,000 people. And I still am the governor, and I still hold myself responsible, and I still say to myself, 'What else could I do? What else could I do? What else could I do? Was there anything else that we could be doing right now?' That is a very heavy burden to bear."
