Rep. Adam Kinzinger’s (R-Ill.) crusade against President Trump has negatively affected his political life, as well as his personal life.
According to reports, 11 members of Kinzinger’s family wrote a two-page letter to him, condemning him for voting to impeach President Trump. The family members reportedly said he was a disappointment to the Kinzinger name and should be shunned for his actions.

If Kinzinger, Cheney etc. were able to put forward some serious factual arguments that impeaching an ex-President is constitutional and that he was guilty of the impeachable charge, i.e. that he incited an insurrection, I could respect their decision. The charge that he said the election was fraudulent cannot possibly be impeachable since it’s just stating an opinion.
Instead they talk about how they did it to disassociate the Republican party from Trump or certain of his supporters (or something). They want us to think that basing their decision on a political calculation, and ignoring constitutionality and the validity of the charges against him, represents some high minded principle. They deserve no respect.
His kin zinged him? That’s a family name they hold dear!

Totally agree. We need to bring back punishments composed of negative liberties as well -- the Roman "Exsilium", exile, banishment -- which is exactly what the Democrats tried to do to President Trump!
We must get serious and act serious and start prosecuting-the-win.
Trump's main flaw is he wants to be loved by everyone -- well, I think he's finally over that.
His 2nd Term should feature the raw exercise of power on Day One, and that is to stuff the first flight of the US Federal Exile jet.
"FederalEx"! Trump comes up with something like that and the no-info Democrat crowd will laugh, instead of being spun on their head by the MSM, as the Democrats and Mittens and this doofus Kittylitteringer are packed onto a snowy gangway on a desolate runway on live cable:
"There is the US Federal Exile jet, to take you anywhere in the world that will have you. You have no papers here; your US assets are forfeit. If you set foot on American territory again, you will serve your full natural life in prison. Goodbye."
You never let your enemies go into exile. There is nothing more destabilizing that a government in exile which would be funded by enemy countries.
